Nothing all the same. Only difference is the day one has a "day one" print on the controller. It comes with a "day one" acheivement, black box instead of green. Thats it. System wise its all the same.

You think a FPS is gonna be the game to take these consoles to the next level?  Give me MGS, a next gen GTA, Last of Us, Final Fantasy over any FPS any day (as a game to showcase next gen)

For me, Halo made Xbox and Gears took things to the next level for the 360. Hoping TitanFall can take over from where Gears left off so I can play that franchise for the next 7-10 years.

Its so easy to forget in this age of Copypaste FPS like COD and BF, that FPS were once the Showcase genre for a new consoles performance.

Original Xbox came out with Halo 1. Set the standard again with Halo 2
360 got a slower start, but next-level performance arrived in Fall 06, when Gears and Halo 3 released.


FPS dominance goes way back into PC days. DOOM, UnReal etc.
It really wasn't until Medal of Honor first, and later COD exploded on the scene that FPS became a low-tech repetitive cash grab


I do agree that the power of 360/PS3 gen was best showcased by non-FPS games, like GTAV, RDR, Skyrim, TLOU.
But if TitanFall brings the ruckus that could swing back to FPS

Not sure if anyone posted it earlier, there's a new dashboard update. Around 300 MB. Supposedly just makes the dashboard a lot smoother. Fixes TV connectivity issues. Not sure what else.

Don't understand why reviewers didn't slam 2K for this extreme VC micro transaction crap. It's literally the most ridiculous thing I've ever had to deal with in a sports game and should be completely changed in 2K15

 Anybody that wants to argue that sharing wasn't easier with the original model that microsoft wanted to put in place is just trying to be difficult, all you had to do was add your friends gamertags to a list of people that you shared games with, the game never leaves your possesion and is still able to be freely played by you.

I don't want to derail the thread further though, its clear we are on different sides of the fence when it comes to digital vs physical media but I'm glad we're both able to get what we want this gen.

In other news, I had my first wtf moment with the xbox one when my controller's batteries died midway through a cod game without warning or lights flashing or anything.

I'm not attached to physical media. I own plenty of downloadable games(Dead Space 1/2, Horizon, Far Cry 3, Crysis, Sleeping Dogs, etc). Downloadable games and physical games have their pros and cons.

But right now, physical media has very clear pros(resellable, ease of borrowing/trade, saved hdd space, etc) over downloadable games.

If downloadable games were priced like how they are on steam then, DL(downloadable) games would be better than PD(physical disc) games.

DL games have the potential to be way better than PD games, but right now is not that time.

The game sharing plan was never fully explained. I've read on reddit from some dude claiming to have worked on the xb1 that game sharing was just a glorified demo. Your friends would be able to play the game for an hour, then they'd be redirected to the marketplace to buy said game.

Whether this is true or not is not clear. Hence why m$'s game sharing plan seemed too good to be true.

i finally figured out how to stream movies to mine. had to make a microsoft skydrive and upload them there. i don't think it can be done through xbox video app. GT - JusLetEmLay COD and DR3 only games so far

Only used, once you open a new game from GS, it's yours to keep, unless you trade it in. Buy used and return within 7 days, you will receive full credit of what you payed.
