They used to. In the past you could churn out a kinda crappy movie video game tie in and make money off of it with blockbuster rentals and unsuspecting people buying from GameStop. But now with the Internet, if a game is really bad everybody knows it. And game development just costs a lot more to so its not worth it, unless you dump a ton of money into it like the batman arkham series
