Depends what games you want... Only game I would play on ps4 before next year is killzone nothing else looks any good

I'M SERIOUSLY CONSIDERING SELLING MY PS4 UPON ARRIVAL.

ALL THE SHOOTERS I'M GOING TO GET ON XBOX ONE AND KILLZONE LOOKS TRASH. THERE IS NO OTHER GAME AT LAUNCH OR EVEN BEFORE CHRISTMAS THAT I WANT ON PS4. IN FACT, THE FIRST GAME I'M INTERESTED IN BUYING FOR THE PS4 IS METAL GEAR SOLID 5. CONTEMPLATING IF I WANT MY PS4 TO SIT UNTIL THAT GAME RELEASES OR RE-SELL AND COP AGAIN WHEN MGS5 RELEASES.

What day 1s are you picking up?

I'll stick to BF4 and Madden... my big two, like most of us, are Titanfall and Destiny. Destiny kind of grew on me. Intrigued with Ryse too.
I'm picking up the two games I pick up every year, Nba 2k14 and Call Of Duty.

I'm going to hold judgement on titanfall till I play it myself and its disappointing that watchdogs isn't dropping till 2014.

Are there Actually any games that have collector's editions that are worth their price tags?

Generally I think that 99% of CEs are just cash grabs.

Just around the corner guys.

MGSV is for xbox one as well.  So you dont have to cop a PS4 anymore, and you don't have to be in that thread either, problem solved!

i'm kidding, but i feel you.  I'm not getting next gen until MGS V.  I dont need anymore FPS in my life

Madden 25 because I have xbox 360 version & I can trade it in at game stop for the xbox one version for $10 . Anyone can do this btw & you didn't have to have bought the game at game stop . Basically a $10 rental for 3 months of madden 25 on the 360.

NBA 2k14 looks so real best basketball game ever what more can you say

Battlefield 4 or call of duty - a lot of cod gamers are making the switch simply because cod sucks & isn't life like such as shooting buildings , walls , blowing stuff up .
Plus I never had or owned a battlefield it's my first time switching to this title. I could change last minute as launch comes because we'll cod is cod and all they need is that improvement

MY WILDCARD *****
Dead rising 3 - the Microsoft rep told me a great feature via kinect is that if your environment around you is loud say a baby cries or dog barks then the zombies can hear and react to your vicinity . You can also push off the zombies via kinnect.
Only reason why it's a wild card is because I never played any of the other dead rising series. =\

Where are these Cod gamers that are making the switch to battlefield, if your switching for multiplayer then I'd rent a current gen version of battlefield first if I were you.  That game has nowhere near the level of replay value call of duty has.  I also don't understand how the words lifelike and first person shooter can even go in the same sentence, we aren't talking about a sports game here.

COD and BF arent as easy to compare as most people think they are. COD is run and gun, quick matches, all about who is quicker on the sticks.

BF is alot more tactical, team work is key, huge maps and long game modes. Where they are both FPS, that about where the similarities stop in terms of gameplay.

But you have to pick one; only one can be fun. That's how fanboyism works.

Exactly... BF and COD are VERY different...

The one thing they do have in common is being a shooter. Everything else is apples and oranges.

BF is a big time team based game. It does have maps to run and gun in but what makes it special is having the team come together and dominate. The maps are huge, you ca actually Snipe. A big thing about BF as well is all the vehicles.

COD is a very fast paced arcade type game.

Both are fun, and I played both for a long time. I now just prefer BF... but both are good man. Give them both a try and figure out what you like. Just what I think. [/COLOR]

Titanfall might persuade me to cop an XB1. Definitely one of the next gen games I'm most interested in. Gonna have to see how things shake out in the console wars before March. If the PS4 install base is significantly higher and it looks like Titanfall is a surefire drop on PS4, might just wait it out.

Out here loafin. finally decided i want to grab an X1.

Any chance of me grabbing on RD or soon after?

Nba2k14 with the false advertisement . What was so next gen about the real gameplay they put out today NOTHING !
It looks exactly like this gen . Where was the visuals from the trailer?! The life like feeling the fluidity of the movement by the players. They emotions ?!

Guess I'm narrowing my launch games to madden/battlefield/deadrising/ & with the disappointment of 2k ; cod ghosts

Just got a text from the gamestore I preordered the Xbox One at saying the XB1 will probably be released in August 2014 here.

I don't even know how MS expects to sell any XB1s in Belgium if they're gonna bring it out damn near a year later.

@ your complaints about 2k and having madden on your buy list

Shinji Mikami isnt exactly the most impartial of people. :lol

That said, it all comes down to the development teams. First parties at both companies will get more out of their respective systems, while third parties will most likely find them to be very similar.
