haven't bought madden in a few years, whats the verdict on it these days
I guess it depends on the last one you played and the type of player you are. Personally, I like it, but a lot of people don't because they feel like the zones and defense in general is broken. I'm more of a franchise player and couch co-op player and I haven't ran into those problems for the most part. When playing against the CPU, I generally feel like your defensive line can't get consistent pressure and it does appear that receivers end up being wide open here and there. With that being said, playing on All-Pro Simulation, I feel like I'm able to get games that I'm happy with and don't feel like I'm getting cheated out of.
MUT is still the focal point and they added another mode called MUT Squads. I tend to stay away from MUT as I get addicted and eventually find myself spending real money eventually. It's fun though.
They also added a story mode called Longshot. If you've ever watched the TV show "Friday Night Lights" it has that feel to it; it even features Scott Porter. It's a short story, but better than most other modes.
