Yeah I think that's the difference is with a team based game.

Although COD is team based it basically used to be a good player can strong arm and be a one man army and rip **** up like a Sandy Ravage with MW2.

Look at Halo 3 it's the game that set the precedence for ranked or skill based matchmaking and was a team oriented game too and no one ever complained about it... hell most of us would want that back right now :lol

Although BLOPS3 was futuristic I thought it was the best COD since BLOPS2, which is the best one imo, because it was fun and it flowed well but WW2 COD just does not flow well to me, but I'm speaking from a core TDM player because I see others love it that play hardcore or ranked/mlg playlists.

I tried playing a game of domination and you only get 50 points per kill in Dom now for WW2 COD. That means you need 10 kills just for a UAV :{ turrible

gaming in general is going toward more casual play

i been saying this for a while multiplayer big shooters are going to the causal crowd they need more people online to push them loot box economy hardcore players won't buy that crap or earn so much of it playing they never really buy it

they wanna sell micro transactions and causal players will buy that stuff up.

SBMM is to keep the casuals happy and a new player base that hopefully buys into the loot boxes. They don't want casuals getting stomped and quit. Then they have less customers for what they really want you for loot boxes.

expect more stripped down games and easy to access games with little input in terms depth but filled with micro transactions to hook a few whales and dolphins. they already got your 60$ bucks they don't have supply you with anything else in terms of matchmaking

look at destiny they stripped it down and implemented loot boxes and barley player depth to keep casuals happy its backfiring and now the game is in free fall

look at the fact that single player games are supposedly not what players want and getting killed off

over watch has a good balance from time to time but it is a very intimidating game

casuals are they hypebeast of gaming they will leave quick once the hype dies out. hard core players drive the hype and as a result casuals can be converted or just play to be part of the wave. cater to the hardcore casuals will come

not the other way around.

My problem with this COD is the poor servers, poor connection, lack of maps, and new class system.

I am glad they went back to boots on the ground, I enjoy it. Boots to ground gameplay will never get old to me as long as the mechanics are solid.

Head glitches and all that stuff has always been there, just gotta be quicker to those spots and better at those spots than the others.

The lack of maps is annoying. First few CODs had like 14-16 maps, this one only got like 8 I think it is.

Getting kicked out of every lobby is annoying.
Getting the black screen is annoying.
Getting the flaming background is annoying.
You would think they would've had it fixed by now.

Then this new ranked playlist without a party? stupid.
Halo had the ranking system but even if you were all 50s and had a tag along that was a 42 you would still be able to find games (took an extra min or 2 I will admit).

Battlefield > COD

Why does anyone bother with COD anymore?

I've always said it depends on what you'e looking for.

Arcade? COD... it' fun to jump right in, run around like crazy and playing.

Technical/Depth/Team Based play interest You? BF is the way to go. Wide open maps, lots of sniper and team play.

Both have their pros and cons. Just depends on what people are looking for. I couldn't stand the futurism of COD and wasn' a fan for a long while as I like the team based game more. However COD WW2 has been a lot of fun and I'm enjoying it.

Yea I want a refund for COD. Too bad I purchased digital smh.

and I blame these unfinished and unpolished games due to the rising popularity these past few years of PC gaming and all those unfinished games or betas or whatever you want to call it.

My man, as a long time casual PC gamer - late 80s to mid 00s I can tell you that unfinished and beta games were never the 'norm'. You would get patches and bug fixes but it would be uncharacteristic for a developer to purposefully release an unfinished game. And if they did they would be punished with shoddy reviews, poor sales, etc...

With console popularity and profitable micro transactions you're seeing more and more unfinished product.

You make solid points.

IMO the gameplay, physics, realism, graphics, etc of BF have made me a favor them heavily. Overall I find it to be much more immersive as well. I've always been a fan of shooters that are more sim like over arcade-ish. (Counter-Strike) I will admit that COD had its glory years which were amazing however, I prefer the BF franchise.

oh PC you too will get micro'ed to death MMO's were full of them.

starfox070 starfox070 Yes, the mid 00s were around the time I stopped as computer gaming hardware was ODing in terms of pricing too.

willypete willypete Expansion packs in the 90s and early 00s were half decent, lately they've not been the same.

Idk about that Overwatch skilled based match making, the thing is I rather it dig a little deeper, we are matched based on our ranking then U have 6 people who "only" can play one class. Like if someone who only played one player make there searching take longer compared to someone who actually plays what the team needs and not what they want. Long dream but OW is wild broken IMO

Prefer Battlefield as well over COD, but the best game modes require at least 30 mins to an hour for just one match to finish.

Only thing that'll get me interested in purchasing another COD is MW4 or MW:R hitting $20 or less anywhere.

I'm feeling the new cod. I like how they took elements from iw with the divisions. There's not enough maps but I like all of em. It's hella fun picking off snipers at Gustav cannon.

I'm moving across the country in the January and have an XBOX 360. I don't play videogames anymore. I was using it for Netflix and Amazon Prime. Is there anything I can get for it or should I just throw it in the garbage

Give it to a child less fortunate I’m sure they’d love to have it bro

I prefer it as well...

However the load times are the worst. COD has them beat well and above. (Same with Battlefront2. Load times are stupid.)
