the controller prompts you the update when you plug up the adapter. I did it the other day but it's making me do it again now. I hope my beats work I will try after this update.
This, even if you updated your controller you have to do it again with the adapter plugged into the controller.

The stereo game audio that comes out of the headset adapter is nowhere near as good as when using a mixamp.
I got the Polk headset earlier when gamestop opened. They're pretty nice. They feel very sturdy. I would say that the volume isn't extremely high but I don't play with the game very loud anyway. If you're looking for wireless then they're worth a look.

It isn't my logic, it's the manufacturer. There is no wire going from the headset to the console. That's what I meant.

Because the wire goes from the headset to controller for game audio.  Same goes for any other headset.  I've used my astros and even some iphone earbuds the same way already this morning so does that make them wireless, no.

Are there going to be any headsets that are completely wireless? I know the PS3/4 have the Pulse and the new gold joints but they are connected with bluetooth. I would have thought the official M$ joints would work the same way.

:lol

I know what you mean mister doitnice.. They're not true wireless but mostly wireless :lol

How does it charge? Does it have like a charging cable

If turtle beach releases a bluetooth capable headset adapter for their wireless headsets those will be completely wireless.

You can't even go completely wireless with astro a50s because you need a cable for chat.

No charge cable. They run on the battery power of the controller. Pretty convenient.

Wouldn't M$ just need to release a patch to support them? I ask because my TBs works wireless via bluetooth on my PS3. I think the PS4 only supports official Sony headset ATM but will later release a patch for 3rd party headsets

It doesn't charge bro, they aren't wireless at all.  The headset is a fraud, they are a regular wired headset that get audio through a 3.5mm jack.  So for example if you didn't want chat and just wanted game audio they wouldn't work unless you hooked them up through the optical connection on the xbox.

Wait wait wait.

That adapter transmits game Audio to any headset? As well as gives Mic capabilities to those with a mic?

Pls respond

Any headset, works with pretty much any headset that has a mic and can use a 3.5mm adapter for those headsets that are 2.5mm.

All previously released headsets will work with the xbox one now and there really isn't any need to purchase the new headsets they just released.

They aren't anything different than what most already have.

For example, the polk 4 shot for the xbox one and the polk melee for the xbox 360 are the exact same headset.  The only difference being one comes with a headset adapter for the xbox one and the other comes with a puck for game chat on the 360.

Not sure the situation with sony because they get chat audio from usb but with the xbox there are already guys that have made their own bluetooth turtle beach adapters for a completely wireless solution(no cables).  There are even a couple for sale on ebay in the $95 range which is quite expensive but I don't see why turtle beach couldn't provide a bluetooth adapter in the $50 range for people that already own those headsets.

Despite announcing that the game would be coming to both current- and next-gen consoles, there has been no mention of a release date for the Xbox One or PlayStation 4. This likely means that the next-gen version of the game has likely been hit with a delay or cancellation. And seeing as Major League Baseball Advanced Media — the team behind RBI Baseball — has never developed for anything other than mobile games, it wouldn’t be surprising in the least to see a PS4 and/or Xbox One version of the game not come at all this year.

Went to best buy. Was just gonna hold off on the adapter till I got back from my trip, but when I saw it was the last one there I went ahead and picked it up.

Y'all got me paranoid, used my gift card and ordered online with the option to pick up in stores today

For all those getting Titanfall digitally, here's a way to figure how long it'll take.

  1. Go to www.speedtest.net to find out how fast your download speed is in Mbps. Internet speeds can fluctuate so remember this will be approximate.
  2. Go to http://download.stormloader.com/ and type in the file size download (20 gigabytes) on Xbox One and your speed in Mbps. Leave type of connection blank.
  3. Hit calculate.
95 min for me

Probably gonna be a lot slower considering everyone trying to download at once, or does that not matter
