I honestly dont think they would be dumb enough to not include MM. The backlash would kill them forever.

The big mistake they made was hinting at H2 Anniversary when they did CE Anniversary, because no one will care about Halos 5 and 6 if they can play two agian on XBL. No matter what they do, they're going to lose in some degree.

A doc on Titanfall came out and states that MS didn't pay for it be off the PS4, their money saved the game from potentially being cancelled.

You gotta pay for it in steam or iTunes. The gist is basically Respawn had asked Sony and Ms early on for console specs. Sony refused to tell the ps4 specs and instead offered it on the vita. Cut to 2013 ish respawn is running out of money and had to cut the sp campaign. They went to EA for more money since they were going to have to delay the game. EA said no pretty much and reached out to others for finding. MS stepped up and gave them money. Originally they had a 13 month head start release on the other consoles. This turned into lifetime exclusivity.
So really
- Sony were being too secretive and cheap
- ea are cheap
- respawn bit off more than they could chew
- ms are the heroes we deserve but not the ones we need right now.

Weird that Sony would do that. There are a bunch of stories about how they were going to developers and openly sharing information... but maybe it was just 1st party studios.
EA is one of my least favorite publishers. This is one more reason.
Good for Microsoft for stepping up. By all accounts, and from what little I played, a solid triple-A game. Definitely see it as a top tier FPS.
I wonder what more time would have resulted in, though... SP, more modes, ect?

I know they develop Battlefield, but if they are publishing TF, isn't in their best interests to see it succeed? Or at the very least, get released?
Give it a shot first...they're incredibly fun games.
Publish in this case doesn't mean the normal sense. They gave the studio start up money but they didn't treat it as they did they're owned studios. MS essentially "published" the game. Respawn should've just went to MS I. The first place instead of dealing with EA

Impossible. If theres one thing I know from being a huge halo nerd is that people have been dying for this since the minute they shut down the H2 servers. Not if the game won't make them money. Respawn sign a contract for platforms are delivery date. Then:
-They want to go next gen because they can't complete their vision on current gen, which shrinks the potential audience.
-Then cut want to cut features
-Then they say they are running out of money. And need to delay the game
And these are the dudes you should put your faith in to deliver? Then even after the lawsuits gets all worked out. The game director/President leaves, the lead engineer leaves, another design lead leaves, the lead multiplayer designer leaves. Their best map maker leaves the company for a couple months during this time too.
EA was in a transition period themselves. One CEO being forced out, another coming it. Cutting their loses on this would have made perfect sense from a business standpoint.
Plus EA got burned by the Metriod Prime devs. They threw tons of money at those guys and got nothing.
-And truly EA seems to be acting more of a distributor and MS the publisher. MS picked up the remaining dev cost, they are getting free/and cheap servers from MS. MS did most of the marketing. EA doesn't have to pay bonuses to Respawn for the 1 st year sales. But the devs are still getting their bonuses. Wonder where they will be getting that money too?
If EA would have cut that check, Respawn would have probably had to give up the IP, creative control, and sign on for a couple more sequels. MS saved their them big time
