For me personally im not judging any consoles on any features they currently have. They are both still in their early stages and in the future they will add alot more.
If we go back and see what the 360 and PS3 offered in their initial stage to what they have now its like night and day.
360 it is then, for now.Cons? Hmmm..... I guess I'd have to say, TV app kinda is useless and slow, kinect was a waste of money, voice controls are a joke and don't work most of the time (could just be mine), library of games is meh IMO and is mostly available for 360 too, and most apps are available for 360 too.
Basically not THAT much different from the 369 at this point IMO
Weird how PS2 had backwards comp and that dropped in 2002 (?) It's 2014 and we don't have it, seems as we progress into the future we digress into the past. We went too ahead of our time back then haha
Not sure about XBL but there should be a demo you can try out, I know there's one on PSNanyone play child of light yet?
I'm so tempted.. Love RPGs and it's been so long for me

You guys think they're going to release some type of way to play your 360 games on XB1?
Man that would have been so clutch
Didnt they say they were going to add backwards compatibility at some point?

Good thing I kept my 360.
It wasn't challenging for the predecessors, though. Now they want to hit us with some "This is next gen, it's harder". They took a very small leap if I read the pros/cons right.
I hear you.in fairness, BC costs money and sony and ms didnt want the costs to get too high. if you followed the ps3, it gradually removed the BC as part of its production cost cutting moves. went from having a BC chip to software emulation to not having it at all. (not sure why the software emulation couldn't have stayed tho).
also, the games are much more sophisticated now vs what we had on the ps1 and xbox 1. makes it harder to fully emulate.

Looks like the Jetson's era might come in year 4000.

only system that had true backwards compatibility was ps2 to the ps1 though (off the top of my head).
I don't do video game or OS programming
but I do programming in a different sandbox
and i can tell you as general rule of thumb in programming - The easier sounding the task is, the more difficult the programming process is

I wonder the same thing. I understand the PS3 because there are still games dropping that are PS3 only but with 360 I can't think of any games unless you have a backlog. To those saying you're glad you kept your 360 (while owning an x1), what games are you playing on your 360?
