Has it helped your shooting with FPS?
depends on your style of shooting. Say you're using a single shot gun like the FAL in Blops2 or a MR28 in ghosts, having a shorter distance to travel forces a quicker trigger finger which in turn gives you more shots. Of course, this is only beneficial if you're landing your shots. Say you're using an AR or a SMG it is also beneficial to utilize the trigger stops by manually burst firing as a means to control the recoil so you get more bursts per second.
If you burst fire
This is where I got lost. What are the back buttons for? I figured you could reroute ABXY to the back of the controller but I don't see how that would help, it seems like it would be confusing. I assume trigger stops mean that the LT/RT doesn't go all the way down when you press them? How does that benefit you? Sorry for all the questions I just don't really see the benefits and you're the only one who seems to have knowledge on this subject
I explained how trigger stops can be of benifit.
Back Buttons/ Paddles -
Have you ever seen someone on CoD jump sideways while shooting you?
Have you ever been drop shotted? (someone goes prone while shooting at you)
BACK BUTTONS
in order to press A or B (or XY for that matter) keeping control of your aim (right stick), traditionally you have to "claw" seen here:

Or else, its not physically possible.
With buttons on the back, you can press ABXY while comfortably keeping your thumb on the right stick and aiming.
So now, if i want to jump while turning a corning i press A under my controller while rotating the right stick left or right
Or if i want to drop shot, Press B while shooting and pressing up on the right stick
Is it beneficial? - It CAN be.
It does take about an hour to get used to.
