So I have a question....those fussing about the drop rates in Destiny and tired of running the same things all the time....what kind of games do you normally play? Also, have you ever played an RPG type game before? (WoW, EQ, Diablo, etc)
I only ask because say in WoW...you do a raid instance and kill a boss (more than one in an instance). That boss has a % chance to drop each class's let's say pants. So you have to hope that your class item actually drops. Then after that you have to hope you actually get the pants since there are more than likely at least 5-7 other guys of the same class as you that could get them.
So normally for each raid, you are awarded points, and for each boss kill or time in the raid, you are given more points. With those points, you could then bid to win the class item when it drops. Someone could outbid you and then you are stuck waiting for the next raid to hope that they drop again and you try to win that one.
On top of trying to level up a tailoring class to make items for your characters or blacksmith to make weapons for you. You have to farm various items to be able to level those skills up and they can take some serious time. Not to mention, just like in Destiny, the next patch will increase the level cap, add more items to the game and basically making your items not "end-game" or "the best" anymore.
Took me a while to realize that you will never beat a game like that and there will always be something to do in games like that. I just because you guys saying how you have 60, 70, 80 hours in the game and don't have everything yet....the thing is....you aren't supposed to and honestly you probably never will. Nobody will for that matter unless you have spent a serious amount of time in the game. I playd WoW in college and had over 70 days of in game time spent on it, and I am around 5 in game days on Destiny so far. Look at the guy who hit level 30 first....He had 3 hunters and constantly ran things multiple times with all 3 to fully maximize the drops/marks/materials that he could get every week. Even after all of that, he and his clan still said that he did not play "hardcore" and wasn't on all the time. It has been what, about 6-7 weeks, and you guys are mad that you don't have everything for your characters already.
That is how it goes some times. You can go in there and get nothing for 2,3,or even 4 weeks in a row, but the next 3 or 4 runs, you could get everything and the other people get nothing. That is the chance you take when you go into those raids. Also, you only have the chance to get drops the first time you clear it every week, so you could only get something 6-7 times so far depending on when you first started doing the raids. I am going to say most didn't start raiding until the 2nd week of release so you are around 5-6 chances at the most to get gear.
Sure it would be nice to have a little more content/maps/things to do, but I think some guys need to be a little more patient in regards to how quickly you are getting drops and stuff also.
I know what you mean having played wow and waiting for a piece you need to drop to get that tier set bonus :x or having nothing drop your class can use at all :x
Mean that **** was too rough to finally be in line to get the next set item for your class, and then it doesn't drop....and then the next raid you miss it and it does drop

My complaints for destiny start and end with the huge lack in content. The raid is literally there for you to gain ONE level. The time spent vs reward is just completely off balance. Some people like that but I dont.
Anyone trying to run the Raid on normal or hard later? I still haven't beaten it . I have the Atheon normal mode checkpoint if anyone's down to just do that too .

Alright cool . Just send me an invite if you guys see me. One of my boys will probably be down too. My mic doesn't work rolleyes) but I can still hear you. I have a pretty good idea of what I gotta do anyway.
Hey I'm down for this raid in about 20 minutes if you guys need 1 more. Ima a level 27 and I have a suros regime and a legendary rocket launcher. GT: AZANAA

My main gripe as well although I don't think crucible is buns I think it's more of a take it fwiw type of thing. It's there and it's something to do every once and a while. But they could've done more with it I guess but I like it the way it is besides the matchmaking balancing and supers
LOL at that long explanation of what One Flag is. Whatever happened to "Capture the Flag: Offense/Defense"
At how fast the flag runner moves, that is crazy. Juggling the flag might be pointless if its really that fast. You guys complain more about Destiny than praise it, glad I passed on it.
And there Is the BUILT IN fundelmental flaw of destiny, it's all sizzle no steak. Raid gear literally is the only way to get to 30, BUT other items can get you to 29. Essentially you're playing to gain 1 level.
The smart thing to do would be have the level cap be 50 (at least). That way you have enough bait to keep you coming back. The way they've made the game you get to 20, then you come to a snail crawl to 25, then a near dead stop at 28, and finally a roulette pull A WEEK to get to 30.
This man knows what he's talking about. The roulette wheel wasn't nice to me on my first character(no raid gear or raid weapons after multiple raids) so I went to my second and third characters, which got me 2 pieces of raid gear on 3 raids each. I still have no lvl 30s but have just accepted that it might not be in the cards for me. I refuse to run the raid 25 plus times like I've seen some people on my friends list do just to get to 30.
I'm not a fan of raids, with a competent team normal can be beaten in 50 to 90 minutes at most but its not the difficulty thats the issue its the logistics of getting 6 people together for at least a 2 hour window without one of them having something come up only to reward them with nothing at the end of it. Some will say thats just how an mmo/rpg works but unfortunately the majority of the people that bought and own destiny are from the fps world and we just can't wrap our heads around not being rewarded for being good or completing something.
Man I've been waiting for Twitter integration with TV. This is absolutely awesome
Don't care what anyone says. The TV integration with the Xbox One is absolutely awesome. It may not be for everyone, but to me it is the most "next-gen" thing of any system.
