The global Halo Tournament. On Nov. 8-9, the Halo: The Master Chief Collection Launch Invitational, presented by ESL, will feature 32 of the biggest names in eSports going toe-to-toe in Halo 2: Anniversary multiplayer for $50,000 in prizes and the chance to be the first to play the Halo 5: Guardians Multiplayer Beta. The competition will take place at ESL’s Southern California headquarters, and all coverage will be streamed at Twitch.tv/Halo on Nov. 8-9, with additional highlights airing during the HaloFest live broadcast on Nov. 10.



Also included will be a first look at Halo 5

Theres a bunch of other tourneys coming up after it drops. Theres one in November in Nashville, and then one in December in Ohio I wanna say.

Yeah its politics but lets be honest, inviting only 8 pro teams saves a lot of peoples time. No open bracket team is about to come and make noise in Halo out of nowhere, its just not gonna happen.

What size and how much?

I really don't "need " one yet but I've never bought one so I have no idea what the price point I should be looking at.

a 4tb should last you the whole console genration, storage wise not relabilty wise. Past hdd were a 4tb ac powered hdd for $130 by western digital.

Usb powered externals are about $110-115 for 2tb.

If you care, there are aluminjm versions that go for $150

Lastly, games that run off of the external work just as well as off of the internal.

LOL at letting that guy whos completely clueless play H3.

If there was one game they needed to have someone who knew what they were doing playing it would be this one, being that the H3 BR is so much different than the other games that have it and all the kill times are longer compared to the other games. Cant tell if anything has been improved on with the shot registration or anything.

H2A kill cams are way better than the H4 ones which basically didnt work at all.

So what does this mean for us as Halo players? Well we saw what ESL was capable off during Gamescom and PAX prime, the production and overall running of the events where both entertaining and professional. I spoke to ESL European Community Manager Brian Kraemer  and he assures me that ESL have plans already in place to host Halo: The Master Chief Collection community cups and to be part of the ESL App!

"We are super happy to finally announce the ESL Xbox One eSports App. With the team feature following quite soon, we have a great product to provide 4v4 community cups for all the Halo fans out there just as we do for CoD, FIFA and various other different titles. November 11th, we are ready for you!"

Halo is going to be in the eSports app (LOL at the term eSports its so dumb).

Earlier today, ESL has announced  that they will be hosting a Master Chief Collection  Invitational LAN event. This event will take place before the Master Chief Collection actually releases to the public, and will showcase some of the best Halo players in the world.

The invitational event will be commentated by Halo Community Manager: Andy “Bravo” Dudynsky, and Alex “Goldenboy” Mendez. The Event will be live streamed via the official Halo Twitch.tv channel (twitch.tv/Halo), be sure to check out all of the tournament details below.

I wasn't kidding bro. Season looks and feels like a mess. Everything the "nerfed" (free counter breaker, high damage low hit combos, easy man' combos) the new characters have. It's a joke really. Game has seriously downgraded. I keep hearing "it's all early still" and "they'll fix it" but that's not the point. They released trash and charged for it.

I wish I never downloaded the update
