i hated him when he opted out...but it seems as if that was all boras doing (supposebly). Either way...he played it smart by COMING to the yankees or else thecity would hate him. now all he gotta do is perform in the playoffs and he good money

Absolutly 100% false. The Yankees said they would negotiate with A-Rod because of the 30 Million dollars they lost from Texas on his contract. Hank also felt disrespected the Alex would not even meet with the Yankees beforehand. A-Rod realized he messed up and had to go through Goldman-Sachs just to get Hank to awnsered his calls. Alex apologized to Hank and Hal said he wanted to be a Yankee all along and agreed to take 30 million of the contract to cover the lost Texas money. If anyone lost face it was Boras. He overvalued the market and pissed Alex off with the timing off the opt out announcement. The Yankees and Alex in his place by basically doing all this without him.

Doesn't make sense. Alex is in control of opting out. He has to sign documents saying he is opting out. Boras doesn't do that for him. Boras is the birdy in Alex's ear saying he'll make more money by opting out. So Alex says okay and signs the paperwork. Yanks did say they wouldn't negotiate with A-Rod if he opted out. And they didn't want to lose that Texas money. But what happened? How did Bora lose face? His client made more money when there was no one out there who would have given them what the Yanks would have given them. Yanks went back on their word. And like I said, they come out looking like B******.
Boras lost face because every one knows Alex went behind his back and spoke to the Yankees on his own terms and the Yankees told him they would onlynegotiate with his as long as Boras isnt involved. How doesnt that make him look bad? His premier client basically had to do is job because the sports marqueefranchise didnt want to deal with him. He also overvaules the market and made promises to Alex he couldnt cash in on and now everyone knows that. He alsoangered Alex and almost all of baseball with the way the opt out was handeled. The Yankees win because 1) They dont lose the Teaxas money off the contract bygetting A-Rod to agree to take it off his contract 2) They got the best player in baseball and the games most powerfull agent basically come crawling back tothem because they needed them all along 3) They fill a void in there lineup by adding the best player in baseball which the orgainization and the fans thoughthad left. The Yankees come out if this as winners Alex gets his money and Boras doesnt look as flawless as he once did
