YO! The quote in the subject line is the issue. I "coined" it some months back while chopping it up with the homies. At the time it seemed like somereal fly **** to say while walking up to the register.


But now as I'm trying to clean up my crib, the ridiculousness of it is striking. I have a large amount of garments that are tagged and unworn & I haveno storage space for. DS shoes, RL button ups from some time in '07, etc. etc. Stacks of shoe boxes in front of the closet. Bags from Belk and Dillardsthat I take off of my bed before sleeping. Then I make my bed up in the morning and put the bags back to get them off the floor. I don't know when I'llwear them... but I plan on it one day.

I've curbed my spending & stopped checking for RL, Brooks sales. But still. What's a playa to do? Anyone else suffering as I?

I used to cop new gear every week, but now I haven't spent money on shoes or clothes in like 6 months. I feel since I've gotten to college, there'sreally no need to be that fresh. I still stay fly, but I just stay fly with my old gear. In high school I was coppin' new *+@+ every weekend just tomaintain that aura.

same here go in my closet and got shoes i only wore once and clothes with the tags still on it, cleaned my closet out like a month back gave %!@# to moms togive to the goodwill, some kids going to be fitted off my stuff

I too have suffered from this in the past. While materialism still hunts me down, you can only shoot the deer down once. You cant keep reloading a gunthat's shooting the same target. Its too easy to give in and buy that favorite R. Lauren jacket that you believe is priced good. But when Shti hits thefan, and an expense pops up balancing itself to be more than jacket you bought and you have to THINK TWICE about paying it!?
