Y'all don't know me then. I'm more of a Nas fan than Jay but like I said... we might as well run this Jay Z $$!* into the ground and be done withit. And I've decided against Tribe for the next one already.

I'll probably edit this post later.

I could see people leaving it off cause Beans had the best verse. But yeah, definitely in his top 10.

Not gonna get into logistics..

just feel like Already Home should be the last song

- Ant, you my man, but you'd have been better off kicking the Essentials back off with the long awaited Outkast or Dungeon Family you knowwe been waiting on those,

Well of course, I'd suggested it. That's how we got the OutKast one in the first place. I'd got at Bastitch on AIM after the Wu Tang and suggestedDungeon Family or the Beattles. He went with "OutKast."

So then I took over Essentials.

DF!!!

  1. Dynasty Intro
  2. American Dreamin'
  3. A Million & One Questions (Remix)
  4. Some People Hate
  5. So Ghetto
  6. Where I'm From
  7. U Don't Know
  8. Streets Is Watching
  9. Come and Get Me
  10. What More Can I Say
  11. Renegade
  12. A Week Ago
  13. This Can't Be Life
  14. Allure
  15. My 1st Song
Not too bad, if I say so myself. Actually, I would probably rearrange a couple of tracks now that I take a second look at it, maybe even replace one ortwo songs to better capture the direction I was trying to go in.

Hovi Baby
Allure
Ignorant Sh*t
U Don't Know
Heart of the City
Where I'm From
Imaginary Player
Brooklyn's Finest
Can I Live
#%+$! What, #%+$! Who
Can't Knock the Hustle
So Ambitious (and if you don't think so, "@!%% y'all")
This Can't Be Life
What More Can I Say
Regrets

1. A Million & One Questions (Remix)
2. Dead Presidents II
3. Can I Live
4. Streets Is Watching
5. Rap Game / Crack Game
6. Come and Get Me
7. Dynasty Intro
8. Soon You'll Understand
9. U Don't Know
10. The Renegades
11. Hovi Baby
12. Meet The Parents
13. Allure
14. Lucifer
15. Beach Chair

There is no way I can cut this to 15 tracks

Here goes nothin...

No particular order, that would make it far too hard:

PSA
Takeover
U Dont Know
Can I Live
So Ghetto
Where Im From
D'evils
Imaginery Player
Beach Chair
Watch Me
H to the Izzo
Cashmere Thoughts
Empire State of Mind
Moment of Clarity/Lucifer
Allure

If I had to pick the best song(s) from each album this is what I'd go with:

RD: D'evils, Can I Live
Vol. 1: You Must Love Me, Imaginary Player
Vol. 2: If I Should Die, Coming of Age
Vol. 3: So Ghetto, Hova Song
Dynasty: Where Have You Been, This Can't Be Life
BP: Heart of the City, Never Change
BP2: Meet the Parents (my least favorite Jay album)
TBA: Allure, What More Can I Say, Lucifer
KC: The Prelude, Beach Chair
AG: Success, Fallin'
BP3: Empire State of Mind, Thank You

Personally I'd put most of Reasonable Doubt on there. Some of the best lyrics, style, and all that mess made in to rap. I don't think he has ever spitstuff that real or was as hungry back then.

That's only if you're trying to put his top songs on there though, if were talking about his career through in two songs from Reasonable doubt.

Can I Live
D'evils
Dead Presidents

and

put in Where I'm From straight realness again.

I'm out of time and don't feel like typing, but that's my 2 cents.
