Have you been to Roma, Venezia and Paris already?

I like going to Europe in March/April, off-peak. Way less tourists and it's not so hot like the summer months in Roma.

Like Audrey Hepburn said, "Paris is always a good idea." My lady and I are considering to go again in April, even though we had the pleasure of visiting summer 2018.

Anyone have amazing Costa Rica experiences?

Have four of our eights nights open. Looking at the pacific coast. Considering Playa Grande, Tamarindo (if it’s highly recommended by anyone), Nosara and could possibly be talked into going farther south towards Montezuma.

As promised, pics for @jigsta05.

Love Costa Rica..I went for surfing in Jaco. But i was told Sámara is dope.

Just got back from Egypt! It helped that I speak a little Arabic and I look Egyptian

So much wealth and history there...ashame how the gov’t isn’t doing their part..

Seeing the poverty around there makes it s humbling experience...

Pics overload....

There’s over 120 pyramids in Egypt, these are the most sought out ones...

The Hanging Church...Aka Virgin Mary Church. Built on top of a passage of a fortress that Joesph once worked. It said the church was built on the last known place that Yeshua and the famiy before leaving in Egypt.

Some places I wasn’t allowed to take pics, but I managed to get them anyhow.

Last but not least Luxor...Stayed in this beautiful guesthouse, Beit Sabee..something you see in the movies. They home cooked traditional meals on the spot.

Luxor is so peaceful...stayed on the West Bank...

Congrats, man!

Favorite restaurant in Santorini is Argo in Fira. If you're into the outdoors, hiking from Fira to Oia. It's like six miles each way. Amoudi Bay has dope views of the caldera and you can swim there. The seafood is fuego. Not quite to the extent of South Africa or Washington state, but wine is emerging in Greece if you want a lazy day at the wineries. All the beaches: Perissa, Red, White, Kamari. Akrotiri which is an ancient village post-volcanic eruption. Thera for ancient ruins. Catch the sunset at Oia.

Stayed in Platys Gialos in Mykonos. We loved Yialo Yialo and Avli Tou Thodori, ate there a bunch. Forget the name of the cocktail, but had a good blue drink at Blue Myth, the restaurant for Hotel Petinos. Little Venice is cool to catch the sunset with a cocktail. Also has shopping and plenty of restaurants. Might bump into some celebrities there, it's trendy. Kato Myli (windmills which overlook Little Venice). Paradise if you're looking to party hard. If you have time, take a day trip to Delos. It's a small island to the west of Mykonos. Panagia Paraportiani (church).

I'll hit the thread with Greece pics later.

I honeymooned in Oia - and I'd agree w/ the above...EVERYONE goes to Oia for the sunsets...cruise ships unload for it even and it gets crazy packed in that area as a result so consider that when you select a place to stay. We actually stayed in two places on Santorini while we were there, the first being Oia before moving down to Imerovigli which we loved hands down. It was a smaller property with an infinity pool over looking the caldera. Given my proximity to Napa, the wine was let's say different, but it was worth checking out...we made a day of it via bus ride etc.

tryna get to somewhere along the westcoast of africa by mid summer( ghana, nigeria, gambia, senegal, cameroon, equatorial guinea, cape verde, ivory coast)..flight time is crucial though @15+ hours for most

Just booked my ticket to Boracay & Siargao for end of May. Can't wait, especially for Siargao.

Just got back from a week-and-a-half long trip to Madrid/Amsterdam/Barcelona. This was a bit of a soccer pilgrimage for me. I had tickets to last week's Madrid Derby, but my flight got diverted and missed the game altogether.

As a result, I ended up watching the Ajax/RM Champions League game in Amsterdam because I was so upset I missed the Madrid match lol (originally wasn't sure of going because of how much CL games cost). Did a tour of the Bernabeu as well.

Finally, caught a Barcelona game at Camp Nou. In case anyone was curious, try buying your tickets through the club's official site, otherwise viagogo worked for me in trying to get CL tickets.

Also, had the time to stop by a few sneaker stops and get some useful souvenirs. Enjoyed connecting with some cool workers at the shops who hooked it up. Magnets are cool and all, but these I can actually use lol. Just tell them you’re visiting from elsewhere and ask if they have any bags because you’re collecting them from different sneaker boutiques.

Currently mulling a plethora of European options for April/May. Paris, Lyon, Amsterdam, Croatia (starting in Split), Brussels and Madrid. Will eventually decide on some combo, like two or three cities.

June/July dedicated to Copa America in Brasil. Fortunate to have a home base in SP. Easy getting to Morumbi and Itaquera.

Just booked for our vacation at the end of March ... was close to choosing Phuket but chose to go to Europe.

Gonna land in Venice, my boy lives in Aviano so he'll scoop us up and we'll be with him for a couple nights.

Take off and take the train to Venice stay a night there, then take the train to Florence stay a couple nights there - then end our trip in Rome and spend about 4 nights there and my boy and his fam will come through and stay with us should be fun and hectic :rollin

We have a 20 hour layover in London on the way home so gonna get a hotel and check out the city as well.

Man Egypt is on my bucket list but i dont think ima ever make it there.

going to paris for the first time in a couple of days.

Than to london for a 2nd time

than to rome

trying to book a trip to athens and take a boat over to santorini but i cant figure out how to book it and found a website that had ferries but said the boat ride was like 8 hours or so and was like 200 something euros per person for a round trip. Might as well just fly it and save time.

does anyone have any recommendations on how to get to santorini from athens?
