I thought Margaritaville was so odd in Jamaica. Like didn't seem authentic or whatever but I guess Montego Bay is all tourist spots anyways. The best stories I had in Jamaica was just the random things that happen while there. It's common to get a random guy to be your tour guide. We had some dude that claimed he was a reggae star. Dude had some janky car and would just freestyle songs while driving and looking back at us. Took us all around Jamaica and even took us to his friend's weed farm. One time were on the beach and some guy like convinces us to get beers at his sister's place near the beach. Seemed sketch but we knew it was all business. Sister ended up having a dive beach bar with $2 US Red Stripes. I spent $5 for two beers and a joint which some kid rolled for me. It was just a cool experience.
Still, I would pick Costa Rica as well. Never been there but Jamaica for some can be a hit and miss depending on what kind of person you are. I am Asian and I had my Asian friend go with his wife and they hated it and said it wasn't the beach vacation experience they wanted.

Jamaica you go for the culture and vibes. There are more relaxing places if that's what you're looking for.
Even then you could head to the North coast for the relaxing Beach experience.

always try for a coed room. all male rooms with bunch a europeans will have you feeling like your sleeping in a locker room.
and always try to get a place with a 90%+ rating. they are usually the best (obviously with a 90%) as far as room and people staying there.

Planning on landing at Paris - CDG and hopping around for a few days. Any suggestions on spots to hit? Haven't really planned anything other than the first two days out there.

Damn....that would have been perfect for my honeymoon since it's beginning of July. I just don't think I can do trip right away. Would love to have done that. I still might do Spain by the end of the year though. Definitely Barcelona and Madrid.

Do Madrid & fly over to Barcelona. Madrid is cool & has a dope scenery, but Barca is way more fun. I feel like Madrid has better paella & sangria as well. Although we found a dope spot my last trip to Barca. They take the siesta seriously in Madrid, so don't plan on foing much but sleeping from 4-7pm.
