Anyone been to Colombia solo? Thinking of taking a trip to Cartagena specifically the walled city. I’m with all the shenanigans fyi.

Guess I’m heading to Napa/Sonoma in late March (1 day for each, with 3-4 tastings/tours in each area). Buddy has some PTO he has to use by the end of the month so we’re turning it into a little birthday trip for him. We already have a pretty solid itinerary from 2020 when we cancelled a trip due to the wildfire, but if y’all have any must-visit wineries I’d love to take a look at them in case we can’t get stuff scheduled.

I’m there 4x a year, just DM me - need to get these booked ASAP since you are a month out

Check out Bouchon in Yountville. It’s a Michelin star restaurant under the Thomas Keller brand. They also have a bakery next door.

Suisun City has a winery called Caymus Suisun Winery. Went there with my wife for our anniversary. Not really into wine like that but we scheduled a tasting tour and at the end we were offered a bottle of wine in exchange for the price of the tasting tour. So pretty much got to taste all types of wine from basic to expensive for free.

I went there for first time this past summer for a bachelor party and it was one of the best times of my life. Planning to visit again solo for a birthday trip to catch the same vibes and have a more personalized experience since I was with a large group the first time.
A lot of people may not like Cartagena because of the panhandling, begging, and aggressive vendors. I can’t lie it is a lot. The airport taxi drivers literally forced their open palms into the car asking for tips simply for putting our luggage in the trunk, which made me uncomfortable at first, but I grew slightly amused and unbothered by it (maybe this was cope) and I generally maintained that same attitude towards the begging for the rest of the trip.

My GF and I are heading to the Finger Lakes on Friday for a couple of days, specifically the Seneca Lake area. We've booked accommodation in Burdett through https://www.newyorkrentalbyowner.com/search/finger-lakes/seneca-lake. Any recommendations on great dinners?

you didn’t do Uber in Colombia? I had a different experience. Man tried to take me straight to the strip club

The rapper guys that follows you - just ignore them or tell them to kick rocks - they’ll leave you alone.

The women with the fruit baskets - if you take a picture with them - they’re going to ask for money. Be prepared to pay.

My Tokyo trip
Time split between Shinjuku, Kyoto and back to Shibuya

Dope stuff man! Been thinking about tokyo this summer but a bit apprehensive since I dont speak or understand a word of Japanese. Has it been difficult to navigate around and/or order food?
Not at all
I don’t speak any Japanese either just simple things like hello and thank you
There is a lot of English signage all over (trains, buses, and restaurants etc.)

You’ll be fine my guy

If you're really want to shop not just Napa outlets but a nearby city Vacaville also has a bigger selection. casual outdoor layout

Google translate. Get a pocket wifi and you're straight. Japanese people are very friendly and helping. Everyone minds their business, but anytime I needed help/directions everyone was willing to help.
