If DeAndre Jordan isn't better than Tyson Chandler, than he's equal to him. They both do the same damn thing. But with Jordan I've actually seen him get the ball in the post, make an effect move and throw down on somebody. I can't really ever recall Chandler making a post move. All his points come off moving without the ball towards the basket and finishing off a pass from CP or Kidd, or throwing down a put-back. I think Chandler is going to be awesome for the Knicks so don't think I'm trying to put him down. But DeAndre has shown flashes of doing things that only Dwight can do in the NBA. Not saying that he'll ever be on that level.

You switch Jordan for Tyson last year on Dallas and they don't get a title. You switch Jordan for Tyson during those few years where NO's was a contender and they look a lot worse
Defensive IQ is the difference between the two. Jordan certainly has the tools to become Tyson Chandler but they're nowhere near equal right now

Son...Tyson Chandler is a career 8 and 8 player that hasn't averaged more then 1.8 blocks per game his whole career, which is what DeAndre averaged last year in his 3rd year in the league (at 22 years old) while splitting minutes with Kaman and not even starting for a part of the season. Let's not put Chandler on some pedastal. I guarantee Jordan will average better numbers this season than Chandler has ever put up in his whole career. Get that "defensive IQ" %%#% outta here. That's just a cop-out because you have no clue what to say as far as what Tyson Chandler does better than Jordan.

You sounding really elementary right now bro. Basketball is a lot more than numbers, nobody's putting Tyson on a pedestal, it's more people saying DeAndre Jordan isn't that exceptional of a player... yet.

He was a huge part of NO's teams with CP3/West
He was a huge part of Dallas' title team that swept defending champ LA, beat OKC and beat Miami
I think he's an exceptional defensive player. Overpaid? Of course, all centers are.
DeAndre Jordan is nothing more than a Tyson-lite right now, but like I said, he has the tools to become Chandler's equal or even better.
