☆☆ 2012 NBA Finals ☆☆ The King has been crowned; Heat win 2012 NBA Finals! Bron Finals MVP.

He is still a below average athlete to me, and at probably the most athletic position in the NBA.

Ishmail Muhammad sighting. I saw Ronald Dupree over there on the bench too.

Kemba just bought all 129 fans to their feet

Congratulations to a younger, slightly more athletic Keith Bogans with longer arms.

I never could understand my fellow Bulls fans' fascination with him being the ultimate solution to the SG problem.
Except he's a better shooter and finisher than Keith Bogans could ever wish to be. So basically Bill Gates' version of Keith Bogans..which pretty much makes him not comparable to Keith Bogans. He fits the what the Bulls did offensively last year. I'd rather have him than Rip. I'd rather have Young or JR than both of them though.

Not that he deserves that kind of dough though. In a perfect world he'd only get 6 or 7 mill per year. Teams value defense and shooting that much. Kyle Korver makes 5 million this season. You knew Afflalo was getting way more than that.

Kemba

I know it was a preseason game with play between 2nd units but there were glimpses of him being NBA ready.

He's not worth the price Denver paid and the price the Bulls would've had to pay to get him.  I still don't understand the fascination; he and Courtney Lee are neck and neck in my eyes.  He couldn't create his own shot at UCLA, and he's still struggling now.  If you want a player that couldn't create or do anything against Corey Brewer in college and get his shot thwarted a lot in the playoffs last year for $43 million, then I don't know what to tell you.

For the price...RIP > Afflalo

Last 5 Bobcats points in 79-77 W.  Took over the last 2 minutes.

Tough defender, spot-up 3 point specialist, shaky off the dribble, struggles against atheltic SGs.....

Bogans was pretty decent out of college and in his earlier years, if you recall.

My comparison is a bit extreme but warranted given the clamoring as if he was the ultimate solution.

Kemba could run the team as starter later in the season. He just needs to get his conditioning up, work on his outside shots and look for his teammates more. He tends to look for his own shots rather than set his team up first.

I don't know how you expect anyone to consistently create on a bum hamstring he probably shouldn't have even played on. He sat out the first couple games for a reason. Either way isolation isn't his game. He creates shots off of movement and when he gets looks he shoots extremely well. If he doesn't have a good look he passes it back off. My edit addresses the price issues.

I agree. At 8 million, you should be able to create your own shot and for others. He can do neither, though he is immaculate knocking down open shots off kickouts which obviously has value. I would take him on the Thunder in a minute though, I'm not saying he is a bad player by any means, just the price tag.

What is Samuel Dalembert doing? I assume the Heat to be the frontrunners for him, but why has he not made a decision and signed somewhere yet so he can have a physical, preseason game, and a few practices under his belt before the season starts?

In more tree falling in a forest with nobody around news, the Thunder traded Byron Mullens to the Charlotte for a 2013 2nd rd pick. I wish him the best. He actually surprised me with how athletic he is the rarity he got in a game in garbage time (dunked semi on Ryan Hollins) and I loved how dedicated he seemed this summer, dude was literally getting pickup games in at a local prison, but Aldrich is a little further along than him and I agree it was time to pick one. Bobcats also signed Bismack Biyombo today.

Howard Beck just tweeted that Baron might actually be out LONGER than the 10 week timeline, apparently it's a real injury and not just a malcontent injury. Knicks already have numerous pg options so I guess they can wait

Nobody going to sign Gilbert Arenas?

I heard the guy might be the Shawn Kemp of the lockout

Damn, there's some bug going around in the Mavericks camp. Cardinal and Wright were sick, and Wright sat out yesterday. Today JET left in an ambulance, but apparently he's okay.

I saw a lot of Bogans back when he was a Rocket, Bobcat, and with the Magic.  I see what you're getting at, but I don't think the two are on the same level.

at Mike Brown bringing an iron and ironing board with him to the locker room. And after just like 5 possessions, big Kantner fan, kid has a motor.

Lakers are totally bailing the Clippers and Billups out by starting Barnes. I still remember when Barnes was looking at me like he wanted to run up in the stands on me because I was filming him doing rehab work before the game. Chances are they just put Chauncy on him and let Tough Juice defend Kobe Bryant from the 3. You start Artest (and obviously Odom if he was here) and that forces Chauncy to have to defend and creates an easy mismatch somewhere.
