Take him off that roster and pretend that trade never happened, and you don't have all these dudes tripping over theirselves to play for the Clippers.

wasnt nobody running to go play with him in new orleans though

the only guy whoever wanted to play with us was and actually did was ron artest and ronny is a lil coo coo

im still in the belief that a kobe bryant/chris paul tandem would have never worked. i mean is it better then what we have now? hell to the yea but we all know it never works with two ball dominant players...
I think they would have adjusted and made it happen, both are super competitive. Add to that how Bynum is playing and just think of the beast he would be with CP3 running pick and roll with him. SMFH. Bean+CP3+Bynum = multiple titles

Because that team sucked. This isn't that difficult of a concept to grasp.

He's not good enough to pull a team from 'bottom feeder' to 'division contender' (nobody is), but he is good enough to pull a team from 'middle of the pack' to 'division contender'... and that's exactly what he's done. And these dudes who are shopping around for a new team, they want to be a part of that.

The Lakers, on the other hand, are going backwards. 'Champions' a couple years ago, and look where we're at now. If you're shopping around for a new team, that's not very attractive to you.

Kobe's not out there blackballing anyone or telling anyone anything; they can see things for themselves. The Clippers are on the rise and it's like 99% because of CP3, and the Lakers are falling, and it really doesn't matter why if you're shopping for a new team.

CP3 is absolutely a part of it, and Blake is the other part.  They also have a 7 foot center protecting the rim (and your back if you are a defender) and a vet guy like Billups, who while on the downside of his career, is still respected.

And the 2 guys they have signed have former connections with these guys, isn't like they are getting complete out of nowhere guys.  KMart and JR both know some of these Clips pretty well.  Makes sense they would go that way.

If Paul went to the Knicks, they'd both be getting calls from Melo and joining them in New York.

That had everything to do with their cheap skate ownership. They traded away Tyson Chandler for nothing

I would think Bledsoe and Foye would be on the trading block, especially if they get JR. Mo has been playing great for them.

Hell, had Yao Ming not went down with another injury (which is asking a bit much), Artest wouldn't have even gone to L.A.

I remember reading in the paper after Yao's injury, Artest said "Without Yao in the lineup, I don't have a reason to be here [in Houston], who knows what's gonna happen to

this roster?" *trades Artest for Ariza*

Hopefully he can get in tonight (with Mozgov & Nenê out), and do some positive things to work his way back into Karl's rotation. With the way things are going with Andersen, I wouldn't be surprised to see him moved at the deadline if the Nuggets are able to get an expiring or a young piece for him. If he isn't moved, I think it's almost a given he'll be amnestied in the off-season.
