Is more like it.
And thats factoring in both sides of the ball.
Do I think Horford has the talent to be great at PF? Yeah, do I think he is great at what a Center does? No but he is very good.
But NENE and Brook Lopez are one in the same at the center position. They dont rebound dont give anything defensively and score a lot of empty points.
Horford has a lot of trouble with the majority of guys on this list defensively too.
I could see him ahead of Noah though. But Joakim is the best defensively outside of Howard. Outside of Howard, and Bynum none of those guys has a power game, nor Hakeem like quickness.

Does Tyson change the Knicks enough to put them past Chicago and Boston? Nope, cause each of those teams while possibly having trouble with that front line are close enough that their guard play will put them over the top.

Battier is a good signing. While he isnt the same guy as in his prime that can defend 2-4 he can defend 3's and some 4's in spurts, shoot the 3, and is a good locker room presance.
Wade, Miller,  Battier, Bron, Bosh, would give Chicago fits...
And thats an an objective fan.....
Kevin Love had a better statistical season than Amar'e last year. While I think Amar'e would give Love the Business on D, Amar'e would get the same from Love.

Only teams under the salary cap would be able to sign that player after he's waived

AMP 9 out of 10 GM's would be dead wrong too.... I wouldnt side with a group of people who build bad teams sign bad contracts, and would have overpaid Amar'e even more if he hadnt had microfracture.

Kevin Love >> Amare?

And more than a couple of you believe this?

Advanced statistics polluting minds one efficient white player at a time.

Its a miniscule difference I will give you that, but I take the younger player who is close enough every time.
What is the maximum an NBA team can contribute to an overseas players buyout?

the clips are rock solid from 2-4. Most talent they've had since that one year with EB, cassell & company
Caron Butler To Sign With Clippers For $24M Over Three Seasons
Dec 08, 2011 3:38 PM EST

Caron Butler has agreed to terms with the Clippers on a three-year deal worth $24 million.

The Clippers had been looking to upgrade their small forward position.

Tayshaun Prince was initially the primary target of the Clippers, but he agreed to stay with the Pistons earlier in the day.

Clips are going to be a VERY good team this year, especially if they resign DeAndre.

But those stats are not tangible proof of anything. Those stats rely on different teams, different games, different players, they don't show tangible proof for anything. All of you laughed at the Amar'e signing last year and then he went out and had an All-NBA year after the deal was widely panned for being the worst of the off-season. If you think Love could outplay Amar'e in a 7 game series your living in a dream world. You take Love cause he is young but I'm talking about for this season. Love plays no D either and he plays with a bunch of guys who can't score and are anemic to rebounding. Amar'e can go out and drop 30 on any team, he dropped 35 in a series on Tim Duncan, before he got injured took it Garnett. And Amar'e and Pau basically played each other to a standstill last time they saw each other in the playoffs, Kobe went nutso that series and y'all won because of that. Pau hardly dominated Amar'e. And Amar'e dumped on Pau's head year after year when Pau was with the Grizz.

I'm biased but the thing is you guys act like you aren't "Noah is better than Chandler" says the Bulls fan. "Pau is better than the Amare'" says the Lakers fan...Regardless these guys are all elite, Amar'e is an elite player, he has been all-NBA 4 out of the last 5 years. Its stupid to say Love, Blake and Z-Bo are better than him off one good year. Aren't you the guy CP who always says these guys have to prove it when it matters and still thinks Kobe is the best player. Amar'e might have played his best year ever last year and that was after being All-NBA mutiple years before that. After Dirk, I don't think there is a better offensive PF. Amar'e is almost impossible to stop oging to the hoop and has a very good jumper now. He is anemic defensively but when you put a guy who guards the hoop as good as anyone (Tyson) that's dangerous. Plus Melo who is no slouch either. That is was my all point but continue laughing like clowns and creatively using advanced stats.

I don't feel bad for dude , he never wanted to be here and complained about it played only 9 good games with us and we still pick up his 14 mill option.
Goodbye.

So your willing to take a Power Forward who does nothing exceptional besides rebound who has been the best player on a 20 win team his whole career over a guy who has proven numerous times in the PLAYOFFS that he can play superior to his superstar peers. And up until his injury last year was widely viewed as an MVP candidate.

Not to mention that when Amare is put into a position where he Has to make a Stop i have seen him make them. where as not Only does Love not play ANY kind of defense... but when his team really needs a stop he isnt capable of making one

Dirk is better than Amare, Pau is arguable, Blake will probably be the best in two years but right now enough isnt known.

Hell Lamarcus Aldridge is better than Love by Far

WojYahooNBA: Free agent forward Mike Dunleavy will sign a two year, $7.5 million deal with the Milwaukee Bucks, league source tells Y! Sports.

For those that care...

Ehh I dont like aiding the Lakers quest to become the Heat of the West, I wanna see how this plays out.
