The funny thing about all of this is that it still implies that being gay is an insult, or something of which you should be ashamed. As Proto said, those comments are no different than people who tried to call black people out for attempting to "pass" so they could discriminate against them. ...Let's just imagine that your favorite rapper was gay. So what? Why does anybody care? Why even make the point of noting it? Do you feel the need to look at other pictures and say, "Gee, RZA looks exceptionally hetero in that shot!" So, keep thinking you are defending (the arbitrary, purely socially derived) concept of masculinity - in reality, you are simply swimming against the tide of progress, history, and enlightenment.
