Owner of Monaco also sold a Da Vinci last year for that of twice of Mbappe if you want to put that into account. But that’s just me and my illuminati-underworld-secret cult butt talking.

Deco has famously said that he’d easily give up all his UCL wins for 1 Cope Libertadores championship. That’s how mainey he believes that tourney is

Was this posted before? I love music but not that big a Libertine fan but Pete Doherty's sponsorship looks pretty good on the football strip.

Funny thing is Rybolovlev tried suing dude who sold him the painting (he bought it in 2013 $127.5mill) for over charging him. Not sure what became of that lawsuit after Rybolovlev got $450.3mill for the Da Vinci. He claimed dude overcharged him by $1bill for the 40 plus paintings he bought then. PRIME PRIME is right... How did we all not saddle up with putin & get rich like this.

Remember, Rybolovlev also had one of the biggest divorce settlements in history when he had to fork over $4.5B to his ex wife back in 2015. Among the items she got in the divorce was a $95mill Palm Beach mansion, a $88mill NYC Central Park West penthouse, & the Greek islands of Scorpios and Sparti... I mean damn...

Still early but so far Benz and Bale have increased their level of play without CR7. A lot of our season hinges on Bale's health. Unfortunately history isn't with us, but if he stays healthy we're still a force. I really like the Mariano pick up since we have great crossers of the ball and he's got aerial ability. I wouldn't want him starting big matches, but he gives us a solid option to rotate Benz/Bale against smaller clubs. Hoping Ceballos can provide similar relief for Modric/Kroos, but he's just 22 and Lopetegui wants a stronger option after Kova's departure. Seems it won't be coming though.

Barring a Bale injury we still have a strong squad without breaking the bank for a galactico for 4 years now.

This is what Poch said when he categorically ruled out the Barca job.

I think it's this same sense of loyalty that not only keeps him with Spurs where he's signed on through 2023, but also will keep him from taking another job in the Prem. That extension will mean he stays with Spurs through 9 yrs.

I think his goal is to win a Prem title or two & a CL before he leaves. And when that time comes, I think his next job will be P$G (his former club).

Edit - Plus with the extension signed (in the face of the Real Madrid job), I could see Levy wanting $200mill in compensation to let Poch leave.
By this theory he would have never taken a job at spurs to remain loyal to Southampton. I might be wrong but I remember the saints being upset with the way he left. Do ya remember him not speaking a lick of English and then showing up in London fluent . He’d be leaving for United not arsenal.. so that loyalty **** is irrelevant

I would take Poch at Chelsea in a heartbeat, although I do love what Sarri is doing

I’m just not seeing the poch hype like y’all do
I can see where your coming from especially in European competition. He’s put out really crap line ups with the hopes of saving players to win the league when Spurs were never really in it (they think they were). Like Pool, league play ha been inconsistent too despite having one of the best defenses for the last couple of years if not the best.

No way I’d take Sarri & his XXL shirt wearing cigerette smoking *** over Poch. Just wait till you see how Chelsea take shape as the weeks pass by...I’m really glad Kante stayed bcs he’ll thrive under Sarri. Morata will to.

Maaaaan, why you have to post that... He should be wearing the Blaugrana strip playing at Camp Nou.

Man, Mariano is a very solid signing. He can’t pass real well but if you only have him go forward & lead the line he’ll bag some goals for Los Blancos. He’s a filthy finished from anywhere. Will also knock in some wit his noggin....

He's rated highly by many because of what's he's been able to achieve without all that much backing from his owner by getting the most out of his squad. He's the one who's developed so much of their talent, basically all their core players, into the quality players/stars they're recognized as now. Their pressing football is also entertaining.

They've been punching above their weight for a while and have firmly established themselves. Big reason why it's now considered a top 6 instead of top 4 now,he's helped force their way into the picture

Regardless of his record in Europe, Spurs have never had a rich history in the CL anyway, the fact that he's had them consistently in Europe each year for the one of the rare times in their history is impressive as hell.

That's why so many imagine he'd do well at a bigger club where he'd get the resources to really try to build a winner

Still don't think he'll leave anytime soon after signing that new deal earlier this summer but I don't expect him to stay on indefinitely either. He's gonna end up at a top club sooner than later imo

Zizou's accomplished more than anyone ever through their first 2 and a half seasons as manager. I'd say that he's earned a shot anywhere he'd like to at least try to build something if he wants.

A lot of the arguments against him punishing him for having a stacked squad reminds me a bit of the same arguments against Pep when he went to Bayern and we know how that's played out since leaving Barca. Granted their styles are totally different but Zizou also took a somewhat underachieveing squad to new and unprecendeted heights like Pep while achieveing something those all time Barca squads couldn't so I wouldn't dismiss his achievements outright.

He might not have a disciplined philosophy/system like Pep but he's not a push over tactically either, going undefeated when it really counts against the best sides in the world back to back to back is no fluke

His man management and in game management was also top notch.

Not saying Zizou is a revolutionary coach or anything but he's built up a lot of cache in a short time and I'm pretty certain that he could attract the interest and respect of most top players towards whatever project he'd take up. He's got that level of respect/reverence in the game that only someone who's won literally everything there is to win in footy could command

Definitely gonna be interested in seeing his next move, besides the United rumors, he's also been linked to Juve to replace Allegri if he ever leaves. I wanted to see him coach France after Deschamps but it seems like he doesnt wanna wait that long before getting back in the coaching game. I don't even think he's on a sabbatical
