Monaco and Jardim are gonna surprise people again this year. He's the guy United should be going after. But he isn't a sexy name like Zizou.

RM sweep of UEFA awards :hat

Navas
Ramos
Modric
Ronaldo (yes he’s at Juve now but won based on what he did in a RM shirt)

Groups B,C and H are really interesting. I’ll never get used to Chelsea not being a part of the draw

Don't think Ramos should have won, and not because I hate him, Varane should have. Mans won a World Cup. Ramos just being the dirty bastard he is.

After his first year at RM, Modric was voted the worst signing in Spain, look at him now

Became an all time great player

I remember the media dragging him on the daily. I'm happy to see that he was able to bounce back from that and meet expectations. Dude is a joy to watch

I didn’t really follow Modric before his arrival. Did he meet or surpass expectations here?

I’d say Kroos passed what was expected of him. Don’t think Bayern would have let him leave if they knew he’d become who Xavi says is his heir on the pitch

I know I’m probably late but Modric finished ahead of CR7 as UEFA’s best player :wow:

If RM are at the top of the La Liga and CL group table through the BdO votes he could very well end the CR7/Messi duopoly over the award throughout almost the last decade.

Edit: I also can’t help but think that there’s some regret by voters when Iniesta retired from Europe that he never got his

Modric needs to win for no reason other than to keep Messi and Ronnie tied at 5 a piece.

you know what? i think mou might pull of a classic park the bus and counter after the the 70th minute and steal a win from juve

Na highly doubt it, Juventus are used to the “parking the bus” tactics from Serie A. Almost every club deploys some version of “parking the bus”, it’s in the Italian football DNA.

JUVE have always been used these tactics, and managed to win 7 straight scudetti, Mourinho’s bus ain’t doing ****e

Very true...but I can’t help but think that mou pulls off a fluke win that will give united false hope.

Luis Enrique continuing his dislike for Jordi alba...he dropped him from the Spain nt

Jordi has been washed for the past two or three years. I don't think he was worth the extension Barca gave him. Barca is still to me an old team with a few added young players here and there.
