Perez def told him to play Vinicius. Mariano is good but like atleti RM is low on bodies very early in the season. Both our teams need to be our best with CL this upcoming week so it makes a lot of sense to me for Mariano to stay on the bench. I see Vinicius and Mariano splitting pt until one of the two get fully integrated into the XI. The way Vinicius looked I think it's gonna be him but we'll see.

Right abductor injury. Probably be out a game or two.

The ghost of christmas past is rearing his ugly head again

No shot it has anything to do with CL. It’d be a cold day in hell when they sit Benz down because he isnt performing well. Mariano should have been the man to come on and be a presence inside the box, they were already dominating the midfield but no reference point in attack.

Vinny should definitely be a starter/play a half hour during Cup ties, not big games like this.

It was just way too late to put on Vinicius. Can’t expect him to find his feet and make an impact against atleti in 3 minutes

Wolves going to Europa :pimp:

Watford might go to the Champions league :wow:

No, No, No - if anyone’s making the Champions League between Wolves and Watford, it’s Wolves. Wolves are better than Watford. I’m not saying that because I’m a fan either, Watford just got off to a hot start. Wolves have better and more talented squad, not debateable.

Plus, Wolves prey on Moose. Watford is nothing but food out here bruvv.

Real Madrid fans chant Cristiano Ronaldo's name in goalless derby
http://www.espn.com/soccer/real-mad...ant-cristiano-ronaldos-name-in-goalless-derby

Hmmmmm, irony is Ronaldo finally looks like he’s meshing with his Juventus teammates. Juventus and Ronaldo aren’t totally there yet but Ronnie had his BEST game today, by far.

Which is funny because he didn’t score today, but he was everywhere today, looked like he was 25 years old. Created all the chances that led to goals to beat Napoli in the biggest game of the season (until these two teams meet again).

Juventus are really going to be scary after January man, come Champions League knockout stages, it’s gonna be a problem. They’re still figuring themselves out, Ronaldo is still figuring Juventus out, and they still won ever game. Dominated Napoli and beat Valencia away with 10 men.

Ronnie/Juventus vs Napoli highlights from today

A while back, Asensio was touted as Spain’s greatest talent ever by Del Bosque. Possibly just to motivate the youngster, but many believed it. And it was hard not to when he first came on the scene and changed countless champions league matches off the bench, and scored wonderful goals from outside of the box.

On a good night he looks like he can successfully play in an any position of the midfield and attack. But on too many nights he leaves a lot to be desired. CR7 is out of the way, we didn’t get Hazard, and his main competition at LW is a teenager who splits time with Castilla.

Until he seizes this golden opportunity, it’s time to rescind that praise, which disrespected the likes of Iniesta, Xavi, and other World Cup/Euro winners, as well as Raúl. Dude might not even be ahead of his teammate Isco as the most talented Spanish player right now. Dani Ceballos showed more today than he did and also won the Euro-U23 player of the tournament ahead of him.

It’s starting to become frustrating because he seems so close to being a special player, but at the same time it seems like he won’t make the leap to being more than a role player on a great team. I’m not writing him off but we’ve gotta see more, and see it consistently.

Chelsea has two back up strikers and one of them can’t score for the life of him.

At least Giroud has a knack for being at the right place at the right time, runners can play off of him and he’s a willing passer.

Morata has been getting the looks and the shots. His issue is shoddy finishing and if its not over the top it’s not threatening.
Part of me wonders if he does get a goal if he will get back his confidence. He is getting in to scoring positions, but his finishing is pants.

Rn giroud is better than batshauyi, holds the ball better and links up better with the other olayers

Watched the Barca game yesterday before work and it was pretty frustrating to watch. Valverde needs to be sacked, he does nothing to get the team going and his subs make no sense. Vidal had been a work horse all game, even saved a goal, meanwhile Coutinho hasn't been the player we need him to be as of late and looked lost yesterday yet who was taken out? The only reason Barca won what was won last year is due to the talent and other clubs underperforming for long stretches of the season, not because Valverde had anything to do with it. Just look at how things ended in the CL.

There is no longer any fluidity within the players where they look like a whole attacking unit, the team looks like the players are trying to do their own thing and not playing cohesively. Tiki take seems to be gone. Rakitic needs a long vacation, sell him to Inter so he can end up playing along with Modric. Pique has been trash, Seemed needs more playing time as it's been an adjustment for him but the potential to be great is there, sadly it relies on Valverde. Dude has been a terrible manager.

this club is way too big for him

If you're Atletico you have to love your chances of winning La Liga this year. Both Real and Barca are in transition this year which could result in a down year. There isn't a better time than this season for Cholo to win another liga. He has the most stable squad of the three thus far.

Been a crazy week of La Liga results, thought Atleti had bottled their chance with their slow start but Real and Barca slipping up since has allowed them to stick around near the top. Things are setting up for a great title race

rolaholic rolaholic what do you think about your mans being a rapist?

Man don't do me like quik ,it's deplorable as hell if true

When they won in 13-14 they scored 77 in the league, haven't reached that number since, they certainly have the players to do it, their defense will always be there but can they get close to 80 goals?

He's been balling in France but it feels like no one outside of P$G fans really cares

He wasn't even on the shortlist for the FIFA awards a few weeks back,Mbappe was though 8)

I wonder if he's regretting his move rn

Speaking of Neymar (he totally regrets going to PSG rolaholic :lol)

Dumb rumor of the day: City want to buy Mbappe for €200 million in January....

If FFP actually threatens PSG, common sense will tell you NEYMAR is the first one to go, and then Di Maria, etc. City man, guess they need more help to win the CL
