FC Barcelona, after analyzing the recent announcement by LaLiga about a strategic agreement with the international investment fund CVC, wants to present this position:

FC Barcelona considers that the operation that has been made public has not been sufficiently verified with the clubs (owners of the TV rights); that its amount is not congruent with the years of duration and that part of the audiovisual rights of all the clubs are affected for the next 50 years.

I kinda see where he’s coming from. The league has no star power now. Sure, Messi might’ve only been at Barca for a couple more years. But in that time, it’s likely that Mbappe and/or Haaland would be in La Liga before he left. It just puts them in a weird place.

It's a down period I'm not debating that, no club is going under because of current league rules. They just signed that new overseas tv contract with espn, just got a multi billion dollar injection into the league. Crowds will return, revenues will go back up. Exactly how much spending do you see going on Serie A, Bundesliga? Ligue 1 outside of PSG?
