Was meaning to ask earlier, what happened to Asensio?

Looked like the next big Spanish thing when he first broke through scoring big goals and even scored in the final against Juve.

Feels like he's kinda regressed a bit over the last year, been a while since I've seen him involved in a goal. I know the young Brazilians have cut into his playing time but even when he's out there he doesn't look as much of a threat as he used to

He hasnt been the same since this foolery

On some other news.....City are trash. Shouldn’t have reupped Pep. He’s looking done out here.

He’s having City play like they do in the Champions League. Scared to death. Exactly what he always does
I don't think he's all that worried tbh, just going through the motions right now.

Think that he reupped for a reason, probably know that he's got some serious reinforcements coming in from Catalunya next year...:smh:

Agreed, he’s not worried at all. Pep has the ultimate job security. He’s under absolutely under no pressure.

Doesn’t change the fact City have looked awful this season.

some CONCACAF CL action going on tonight. Looking forward to see all MLS get eliminated :lol

Everything we were told about Kai, we are getting from Ziyech. He’s young, I’m not trying to write him off, but I don’t see what he does to warrant a selection on the team right now
Yea, I agree. I believe he’ll come good as he adapts to the league. It’s harder for young players to make that transition.

But Kovacic should start over him right now.

I mean.......City aren’t really getting the banter or criticism they deserve right now. Look at this :sick::sick:

*Plus Pep has ruined Bernardo Silva. Never seen Silva so far from form in my life. He wouldn’t even start in the Portugal bench as of right now.

They've been trash in the league but yea that's cold coming off their best result of the season  :smh:

West Brom owners have been terrible for years though, no manager's gonna save them from dropping

Fully expecting a retread like Pulis or Big Sam to get the job next :lol

There really is no cutting edge going forward for City. I like bernardo's game but they need pace and straight line speed to get behind the back line when they can and really the only player that can do that seems to be Torres right now.

These games where teams pack it in and City dont' have Aguero who can capitalize on small chances its just Sterling and Mahrez dancing praying for a penalty or having to beat 2-3 people to get a shot away. And Sterling is far from clinical when it comes to finishing. It has been really frustrating to watch this year.

dude got injured but I think it goes further than that. He doesn’t want to be “the guy.” He’s basically verbalized being happy being a role player. And he’s too much of a jack of all trades but doesn’t have the tools to excel at one position. I guess he’s also not an unknown anymore either to catch clubs by surprise. But on the topic of the injury part of what made him have potential to be special was the cannon of a left foot. And we haven’t really seen that since.

I also think before he was able to play off of Ronaldo for those crucial CL moments. Ronaldo either opening space for him or Ronaldo finding an opening for Asensio to play a cross into.

I think dude’s career is never going to take off though. It’s wild to think at one point there were 100+m offers for him. But these things can’t be predicted in football.
