I always thought that Wenger didn't go for Cavalho due to his mobility. The price was never that high. But it is what it is. Getting Partey is def going to be hard, lack of European football in general. Pape Gueye and Bennacer, different players but they would help our midfield.

Luiz signing a 1 year extension is a joke but if he is not starting, it makes it more bearable. Mari and Soares have both signed 4 year deals. Positive signs. Injury issues have been a problem for both of them but it think that they could work out. Glad to see us doing some business early. Gotta sort out these Auba and Saka contracts. Sell some dead weight and address our midfield.

It seems like they don't want the title, they have been trash since the restart. It's pretty crazy because Porto and Braga are struggling to get results as well. I've watched a few matches from all 3 of em and more times they are dominating the opponent but give up some stupid goals or waste away their chances. It looks like you guys have a harder schedule than Benfica too so if you guys dont win it in this second half, its gonna be more of a struggle for yall than Benfica imo.

Man's always gotta create external enemies and tension/animosity to drive and motivate him it feels like. Just real self-destructive that it usually ends up taking form with his best players

I remember reading some fan theories towards the end of his tenure at United about how a lot of Real and Chelsea fans felt that he resented skillful and talented players due to his own lack of playing success but that always felt like a little too much armchair psychoanalyzing to me

He does seem to have a preferred profile of player he feels much more comfortable trusting over established stars though so who knows.

Just wild how we see and hear the same story at literally every stop

Only stop he's had that went pretty smoothly and without controversy seems to have been at Inter and that might've been him more due to him being at the top of his game as a manager and only staying 2 seasons there . He's left a dumpster fire everywhere else
