I used to think like this but look at Citeh’s bench. Those are players that would go for around that amount if purchased in this market. Citeh spent like £45m in 17 for B. Silva to be a rotation guy. Other option is to continue to buy young players like Dan James and hope that Ole can mold them. I haven’t seen enough from Ole on the player development side so I’d much rather the former happen than the latter.

We all have some homerism but I’m not at the extent of saying Sturridge is the best player in the prem homer.
I’ve been saying it’s a trash deal if there’s no buyback. There’s no buyback. Therefore it’s a trash deal.
I wish dude the best. Went out on loan and did all he could do. And now found a situation playing his preferred RWB position in an exciting upstart project that’s best for him.

Still want the club to focus on bringing in a RW like Sancho first and foremost even if its the only signing made and he'll probably be sold for near triple figure m's even in this market.
More creativity on the bench is definitely needed though to compete on all fronts
I hear you on that and the best squads have quality all over but just not sure how realistic it is to expect more than 1 big money signing this summer.

Yeah, think all reds are on the same page as far as who/what the priority signing is this summer. I’m thinking we’ll see 3 or 4 signings with a couple leaving like last summer.

I dont blame him as an athlete. It's probably pretty hard for him to sit down and have a free 2 hours once in awhile to watch since both the NBA and BPL are played at the same time. I cant even imagine what his schedule would look like even on an off day.
You east coasters have it better than us in the west. Kickoff times can be awful and tbh it's getting harder and harder for me as I get older

Lazio with a come from behind shaky win against Fiorentina. Still cant believe they blew it against Atalanta. They would be 1 point behind but its 4 now. Would of made the last few games in Serie A more interesting but I still wouldnt count them out quite yet.
