I mentioned it several times in here, but when I went back to Camp Nou a few years ago, it was awful. Probably the most disgusting stadium experience of all time, and I thought the Oakland Coliseum was the biggest dump. Maggots, mud, sunflower seeds, trash EVERYWHERE, and this was before the match had even started. Bartomeu didn’t give a damn about putting ANY money into maintaining the stadium. It’s a shame because even back in 2010-11 Camp Nou was one of the most impressive stadiums in the world, so it’s not like the age itself is making it bad. I was so damn embarrassed when I made my friends pay $200+ Each for tickets after hyping up how amazing it was going to be.
say what you want about Real Madrid, but Florentino would NEVER allow the Bernabeu to be in that state. Keeping your stadium filthy and run down is disrespectful not only to the history of the club but also to the thousands of fans who come from all over the world to make your club as rich as it is today
