This what I don't get about futbol yet. Why would you fire a coach who just got you a CL and copa del rey title last year. Like bringing in someone new is going to change things around quick? There's coaches who haven't done shiii but still with the team. Idk it just sounds crazy to fire Carlo
But he gets results.. got rid of Mourinho and won the UCL the next yr.. I whole heartily agree with you but results like that just solidify his notion to get a new manager.

Lmao now madristas want pep too.
No shame. Yall are the worst.
Just take your L's. Zidane will be your new coach

Watched a replay of the entire game, Juve's defense is legit. Chiellini just kept clearing pass after pass after pass. I love how hard Vidal, Marchisio and Tevez work off the ball. Juventus fully deserved to advance and I really think they will be good enough to beat Barcelona. That defense will be the difference.

Real Madrid though, Jesus Christ these dudes have issues. I noticed a couple of things though

1. Bale missed so many opportunities, but at least he didnt go ghost at the end. The same cant be said for Ronaldo, James or Isco.

2. I feel like Kroos is playing out of possession. Dude should be higher up the field higher a long with James. Both of them arent box to box midfielders but when you get rid of Alonso and Di Maria what can you expect?

All in all, I feel good about Juve's chances against Barca. Solid back 4, very physical midfielders and a lot of height on set pieces. Barca's speed will cause issues but the rigidity of the Juve defense reminds of the Chelsea team that beat Barca a couple years ago

Juve bout to do what Bayern couldn't

Give Juve the credit they deserve damn.

Madrid is overrated. They got exposed by schalke and Dortmund. Relying on cristiano can only take you so far. He disappears on the big stage. All those inflated goal tallies from taking real's PKs and playing bottom tier teams in LA liga got you boys hoodwinked :lol

come on famb

Real struggled this year all around. It was not Ronnies fault nor does he disappear on the big stage. Juve played well and are an excellent squad. They were the more organized side and once they got the goal you knew it was over. That Italian defense. Real just wasn't fluid on offense like they used to be.

Anyone who watched them this year knew they weren't the best team in the world this year.

Yep, they looked fugazi as hell. Not scapegoating, but the only time they played with chemistry was when Bale was out early in the season. Other than that they never were really that impressive.

Barca's been easily the best team this year. They deserve La Liga, and will deservedly win the CL if they play anything like how they have been.

I have been telling myself all year "it can't all be Bale's fault" but man when he gets the ball on the wing he constantly kills the flow/movement of the offense. And he turns it over trying to take players on at mid field all the time. There is a time and place for that. Make sure if you are going to attack that they have to put the ball out for a throw in if you get caught up.

Alot of the problems with Madrid are as a result of Perez so it would be a shame if Carlo got fired. There is a public perception that Carlo had to field a team based on Perez's instruction & not the team Carlo wanted to field. If that's true, Carlo never complained & towed the company line all campaign long.

He had to use the midfielders he had despite not having a legit box to box and/or defensive midfielder. Perez never brought in anyone to replace the production of Xabi & ADM.

If Carlo is guilty of anything it's not developing young players like Illarra & an inability to rotate his squad so that they were match fit. Trying to throw in the likes of Coentrao & Alvaro Arbeloa who didn't have much playing time previously got exposed when playing Atleti, Schalke, & last weekend vs Valencia.

Also alot of the mistakes I see in Bale are ones that should be able to be corrected during training. Good play is as a result of good practice & preparation. Is it because of Carlo's staff not properly preparing the likes of Bale (& Illarra, Chicha, etc)?

The last thing, it's hard to repeat as CL champions. The weight of expectation is so great mentally (as well as physically). The odds were really stacked on Madrid in repeating... :rolleyes

:x Had no idea that Gonzalo Higuain's older brother (by 3 years) is Federico Higuain of the MLS Columbus Crew. I've seen the last name but never though they were brothers...

How about that DCU comeback last night? Top of the Eastern Conference and undefeated in 8.

Great to see Kaka live in person. fluid passing attack in the first half, DCU defense tightened up  in the second.

RFK stands were BOUNCING after the second goal. #supportYourLocals

Yea I doubt that they'd give Zidane his first actual managing job so soon after just getting his license. I see him taking on a Giggs role as an assistant for the next manager before taking over.

I see, would he really be ready to take over such a stressful job? I kept hearing that the Castilla job was a job in name only and he didn't actually do much with the team :lol.

Chiellieni and Evra have been waiting a while to get their revenge :lol
