Yea I saw the videos of the pundits last night on 101greatgoals, way too extreme in my opinion. But that's not my biggest issue, some papers and tabloids are calling him an "idiot" in bold letters, on the front page for swapping jerseys. Making it extremely personal and blowing this whole thing out of proportion. It's absurd. - I'd post this stuff right now but I can't.

Carlo Ancelotti responded to an English reporter who asked him about it, he said "we let players change shirts, sometimes they do it at halftime, it's not a problem with us". I don't see any of the English papers or pundits quoting that tho :{

Seriously bro? If the Premiership wants to continue to spend hundreds of millions of dollars on talented foreigners - don't expect those foreigners to know and act like a merry old pint-drinking Englishman raised on your football traditions overnight. Sorry man - it's pathetic and cynical journalism disguising itself over xenophobia.

coded message - England will never win a major tournament because they live in 1888

Nice to see Rogers backing up Balo. He basically said he's had enough of the constant Balo questions and scrutiny. He's been in poor form lately but he's definitely not the only reason why the Reds have struggled but you'd think so from all the negative press.

"Is this the Mario Balotelli press conference?" he told reporters, before adding: "It's no problem for me. I select the players on how well they work in training and the best teams to win games. The Mario Balotelli Show' is no different to me. He's like any other player. For me as a manager, it is no problem. I like players who are different. But as long as they don't see themselves as individual. They have to be part of the team. He's working hard and doing his best right now."

I used to be annoyed by some of his antics and thought of him as a bonehead but I'm starting to sympathize with him a little because of the witch hunts that begin after every little thing he does.

That came out of nowhere

English media is pure filth, as bad or worse than the Spanish media when it comes to sports.

Now guys, Watch the English slander in here, Remember me and Heggsy are English :rollin

I have nothing against the English (England is the country I would move to if SF and NYC got destroyed or something), but your guys' media has the least integrity and class out of all western countries other than Spain :lol

Y'all are cool tho.. :lol

No but seriously, it's not an English attack. Media is Spain, Italy, and Portugal are just as bad from what I've seen. But the Premiership and English teams get the priority in this thread - since it's the most popular and we all speak English. So that's why I'm pointing them out.

It's cool guys I'm only playing :smokin

Our media can be ruthless though got to agree, You have just got to look at the David Beckham example, our media hung him out to dry well and truly, and then a few years later he was the national god. Believe it or not the English and Spanish media isn't even the worst, The Australian media in general are even worse then us

^ Just noticed your avy :lol :hat What happened? I haven't been following this thread much for the past few weeks

The common denominator for the English & Australian press is ruppert murdoch... Not sure what his media holdings are in Spain, but I wouldn't be surprised if he own a majority of the press there...

Goes back the World Cup, We had an avy bet because I said I was sure England would get out of the group :x

Caught the Real match finally

Straight outclassed and bossed Liverpool in Anfield :hat

Balotassaray needs to happen next season.

Man, so many random Oompa Loompas came out of the woodworks to make some bold claims about the US being lucky to even pick up a point let alone get out of the group during the World Cup :lol

So glad that's over now.

Oh and I hope the extra day of rest Barca has doesn't become a factor in El Clasico. Wish the match could be played on Sunday.

- I'm catching glimpses of this Lille/Everton game....the little I've seen of Origi has been pretty impressive. Good job on Liverpool's behalf.

- Sterling should be treated as England's crown jewel at this point (not literally because then it might get to his head) he's clearly that country's premier player.

- Balo is just struggling. If he goes throughout the year unspectacularly but stays out of real trouble I think he'll be ok.

Can we get 20 committed owners for an EPL Redraft? Players not limited to the current Premier League.

Hey Coupe, I hope you're not counting all of us Englishmen as larger swilling, fat bellied, Sun & Daily Mail reading, racist, xenophobic, dimwitted louts...
They only account for 95% of the population

On a side note, I can't wait for Kyle Walker to get 100% fit again, missing his pace and runs badly.

Edit: Nice one 'Arry!!
