Their roster THIS year has holes. A window is only 1 year?

Once those extensions kick in, they're ability to improve the roster severely limits itself, all the while they're falling further behind the pecking order in the East. Clock is ticking.

Philly did a decent job of it when it looked like they were trending the wrong way.
 
Wild that Drummond is old enough to be Tatum's dad. I hope they're able to be the first father-son teammates.

Y'all got almost Ainge though.

He's acquired plenty of talent over the past 5-6 years. Just needs to get the right fit.

But the goalposts are being moved now. If he's almost Ainge the ticking clock is irrelevant.

Hesitant GM + salary cap constraints = window closing at a rapid pace. He was able to lure a couple free agents cause the cap wasn't constrained b/c Brown and Tatum were making so little. That's out the window starting next season.

Philly was able to do it with their young duo making their max, so I have hope.
