Hesitant GM + salary cap constraints = window closing at a rapid pace. He was able to lure a couple free agents cause the cap wasn't constrained b/c Brown and Tatum were making so little. That's out the window starting next season.

The key is to have those contracts between the max and rookie scale players. Accumulate two to three of those types of contracts to go with first rounders and you can negotiate trades.
