This dude is such a clown

Somebody get this man a superteam

I'd just be cashing the best checks. Even the worst destination, probably Utah/OKC/Cleveland/Detroit/Minnesota if you took a player poll are probably bottom 5 (maybe Sacramento in there somewhere, San Antonio?), are probably still amazing when you make 8 figures. You can just grubhub, doordash, amazon prime, uber and never have to interact with that city if you dont want to, and I'm sure there's a pocket of Ruth Chris', Whole Foods, dive bars, and racially ambiguous women for you to enjoy, if not import it. Look at Shaq, dude endorses everything.

This is some sucka *** ****. Do you wanna be remembered as someone who was ‘solid’? Or do you wanna be the player that left a ****ty situation and won a ring and be in the discussion as one of the all time great PG’s? Man shut the hell up

I honestly think it's the former bro

It’s just a “cool” way of making excuses for yourself. Can’t blame him too much tho, because it works. He’s a worse playoff performer than Paul George but he gets praised while PG gets bullied into depression.
based on what numbers

I don't know if I would call it an excuse but no matter what it is, it's unnecessary and corny especially while he's 30 going on 31 in July. I looked at their playoff numbers (see below) which can lead to different conclusions but I think to your main point, PG is 41-48 (.461) and Dame is 20-35 (.364!!!). Yikes.

Playoff success as the best player on the team.
So he was for sure the best player on the team starting in 2012-2013 when he made his first ASG through the end of his tenure there. Should we count the OKC years or not?

Dame has been consistently bad in the playoffs, with the exception of when he made the WCF. But I’m almost certain he was *** in that series too

I don’t care if Lilliard stays and doesn’t win or leaves and wins but publicly trying to claim the moral high ground is mad lame.
Dudes great, but he was the one whining about all star appearances before rudy did it.

Better FG%
Better 2pt%
Better Efg%
Same 3pt%
one guy is 7 games under .500
one guy is 15 games under .500

Those 4.7 points must hold a lot of weight.

At best, Dame is as good as PG in the postseason. Still, look at the perception of the two.

No but if anything it goes to show that he's not a ceiling raiser. As long as he can get his scowls and stats, he's coolin.

Dame is lame for that IG but he's just trying to position his narrative for when he's gone. Everyone in this thread has peeped game but just in case the casuals weren't aware he wants to make certain that history will remember him not winning a strap being because he decided to be loyal to his organization and best friend/teammate, CJ.

All these superstars, especially the HOFers/All-Timers, have agendas whether it's stats, awards, rings, loyalty, recognition or whatever. It is what it is.

This is very true. This reminded me of Harden tweet some years back #Rocket4Life or something of the sort :lol HOU$TON HOU$TON

The “loyalty” thing is funny to me tho. #30 in the bay, going to retire there. And that’s true loyalty and OTM. Out the mud.

Rest of the league been playing musical chairs, and posturing on who’s more “real” or what rings “count”. It’s hilarious to see.

I don't have a horse in this race but it's worth noting that despite having a ~0.100 better win percentage and 44 more playoff games played, PG only has one more conference finals appearance.

I'm a Lillard fan, but he should have kept that post to himself. Talking about how loyal he is means nothing. Just go out there and compete. If he thinks loyalty is going to add to his legacy as a player in the eyes of the media, he's sadly mistaken. Championships is all that matters in the eyes of many. By all counts he seems that he doesn't want to go the Lebron/KD route to win. I have the utmost respect for that, but don't complain and whine about how others are going about it. Loyalty doesn't have to be mentioned, we can see. I don't care about rings, because I watch how they are won. Personally my top 5 favorite players all-time never won any rings, ( well except for KD, and im not a fan of how he won them).
