Signing Hayward seemed like one of those moves to sign someone in hopes of luring others down the line. They seem like they want to win but it’s not the best strategy for them. This is why the Hayward contract was so puzzling. Figured they'd just draft Lamelo and play him along with the 2 guards. Graham and Rozier were both pretty solid last year. Going to be tough to play a project player ahead of them if they are actually trying to win, which I assume they are.
They have Lamelo, Rozier and Graham. They could’ve been bad for another year, got another high prospect and then possibly signed someone
