Scottie is one of my favorite players ever, and he certainly would know about the workings of those Bulls dynasties more than I could ever fathom, but I’m not feeling the whole Michael Jordan wouldn’t be the Michael Jordan as we know him without Pip, I mean I watched those Pistons series when I was growing up, Mike ain’t get no migraines. I don’t know, if he says he was the leader or whatever he would know better than I would, if he said he was the catalyst behind Mike being the Mike that we know so be it, he would know, but I think would’ve been the Mike we know regardless.
It’s the 6 rings aspect. Impossible to know how those Bulls teams fare with someone else in Scottie’s place.

Mike is the greatest scorer we’ve ever seen post-merger. So a team with him on it would be at its best if hes able to just focus on scoring. You always had Horace/Dennis guarding the other team’s best big man while Scottie took the best perimeter player and then on the other end he was the point guard.

He was really the best in the league at that role so I’m not sure the Bulls are as good if you replace him and now you’re asking Jordan to take on more of a playmaking and defensive burden…. Which he’s capable of, but the team is better off if he’s able to delegate that to someone else instead of having to do everything on the perimeter on both ends of the court.

You can maybe get 1 ring like that but 6-0 w/ 6 FMVPs? Eh

It’s why the term “role player” is kind of a misnomer. Everybody on the team has a role. The big time scorer is what draws the most interest, but that is too a “role” and you need everybody to play their’s if you’re talking about winning 6 rings in 8 years.

Also why I hate the whole “sidekick” stuff when any team is mentioned.

Hypothetically speaking, swap Pip with Prime Eagle Dolla and what’s the results?

Definitely not 6 rings. Pippen is what Iggy should have been in Philly. Do people forget Pip won 55 games w/o Mike? Pippen took alot of pressure off Mike being basically the Point on those teams and defensively.

I don't know if people saw what Pippen said about Nash's coaching because the KD stuff is the headline but he made a great point saying Nash wore him down. It's ways to get players rest. Nash looked inexperienced as a coach, which he is.

I do think Pippen went overboard a lil on KD and we know how sensitive KD when it comes to Lebron. :lol

Scottie didn’t have to do the LeBron comp ****. That was nasty. We’ve seen it happen to Bron in 2018 in game 1 /lol. 0 pts in OT after 51 and trusting his teammates on the last play (George hill meme).

But Pip was right. That hero ball, shot for shot ***, and Nash just wearing KD down wasn’t good.

KD shouldn’t have played 50 something minutes either in back to back games. Idc what type of situation it is, that is wild

The tug and pull between players and coaches/org is at an all time high. On one end…Steph/Kerr & Giannis/Bud get it right and WRONG with the rest until 6 mins thing. On another end, KD, Bron, Kyrie etc run the coaches/org :lol. And that works to an extent. But *****s get burnt out, tired and hero ball.

Pacers gave white Doc how much? :rollin

Pencil them in for underperforming for the net 4 years.

Is Eagle Dolla a franchise player material? There were potential and there were those that played beyond their expectation. Pip had high potential before he came to the league, but never knew he would turn that great. A team and teammates could also make or break a player.

Man, they keep hiring (re-hiring) the wrong black coaches 🤦🏾‍♂️.

Ime Udoka is where it’s at.I’m pissed Jerry Stackhouse didn’t take an nba gig.

It’s going to be hilarious, when Derrick Fisher gets another shot because of pandering and being a point guard.

I would be pretty close to denouncing my Fandom. Three straight players I don't like brought to the Spurs
I’m with you. Closer and closer to not even caring about this organization anymore. I lose interest every season. And it’s sad cause I been a fan since 89. SMH

Gotta admit, it's a pretty good time right now where we have former all stars having no problem ripping current all stars, and we have those same current stars with some of the thinnest skin of any era plus a forum (social media) to show their true thoughts in real time. It's entertaining for the fan

eh KD sits down for even 2 minutes, Bucks will go on a run. no one else on that team could make or create their own shot in games 5 6 and 7

The thing is, people want to try and attribute success to one person and reduce the impact of others.

You can’t even win one championship without greatness from multiple sources. But this isn’t a one chip team, it’s a six time champion. Michael, Scottie, Phil all had to be at the absolute peak of greatness to make that happen.

Sounds like Jacque Vaughn has the inside track in New Orleans.

How much would it cost to get Ewing from Georgetown?

Also, Kevin Ollie still out there

would be surprised if Vaughn didn't get the NO job. Griffith has always he loved the way the Nets were built back up, developed and coached

Surprised teams are not even reaching out to jarron collins. Seems like a year or two ago he was a hot name.
Also, like to see mike brown get another shot. Maybe, with a young squad like the pels

I hate that I'm sitting here trying to rationalize the Kidd stuff. :lol :{

Man's retired and got an NBA head coaching gig not 10 days later. He was clearly in over his head.

Hopefully some time at the LeBron coaching academy sitting next to him in LA has paid a dividend or two.
