One dark horse for the future.... James Harden. If we continue to see the growth of fishing for fouls as a core part of the scoring game to even greater extents ala what Trae is doing.
Ehhh I don’t see many dudes taking the time to understand the game the way Harden (and Kobe) did to be able to get cheap calls since the refs can’t see everything

Excellent point. Steph even influencing Bron if we want to keep it a buck

As far as peers, The Damian Lillard Conundrum is the most fascinating to me. @antidope always says that if Steph didn't exist, Dame would be getting the love as the guy who pulls from the logo. But if Steph didn't exist, would Dame even be attempting to pull from half court? Dame literally bit Steph's whole ****ing flow, word for word, bar for bar.

its bigger than the deep 3s. Who was shooting 3s off the PNR before Steph?

The whole thing about Harden and the future is....who would he replace?!?!

I actually think if we are talking about influence on HOW THE GAME IS PLAYED....Bron and Magic are interesting cases to be on there because they are such physical anomalies that not many dudes can replicate what they do other than the passing. They are 1-of-1s.

I feel like KG made it "cool" for a big to have guard skills growing up. I missed Webber's early years in the NBA compared to KG, so maybe I'm wrong.

Definitely true. I remember him being one of the first bug guys I saw crossing folks up.

Do you guys think Zion is overweight/ out of shape?

have this debate with the homies all the time.

I just think he’s something we seen before and he’s going to carry this weight fine.

I think they’ll start coaching to it eventually right? If they’re not doing it already at the youth level. It’s such an efficient way to get points.

Don’t know if this fits....but Draymond is a game changer.

I think of how many tweener PF’s that never got to realize their potential, because height and conventional wisdom said they needed to be on the wing. And then look at how many of these 6’6 to 6’7 guys are able to flourish/play now these days as true pfs...and even small ball 5s.

IMO it only works if you have elite wiggle and are extremely crafty like Harden, Luka and Trae. Like for example, I think Steph could do it but he chooses not to incorporate it into his game.

Maybe in 2015/2016

draymond green plays like prime Anthony Randolph now

I think the whole point of this discussion is about dude's primes. No one is patterning their game after Wizards MJ, post-achilles Kobe or 95 Magic.

The Benjamin Simmons disrespect lol
