At a glance, that rim looks like it was a few clanked jumpers away so I’m not impressed by that low energy dunk. If anything I’m glad no one got hurt because that school was putting folks at risk by allowing them to play on such a structurally unsound hoop. They shouldn’t be allowed to play at home for the rest of the season

Appreciate you using the art of GraveDigging to hold folks accountable for their words.

Thank you but I can’t even call it gravedigging when the man made those statements within 3 hours of each other . He’s the same same dude who said this though, so I can’t really be surprised at his takes.

Sure, we make fun of the patches on his jacket in comparison to his peers but he’s a NCAA Champion, Final Four MOP (as a freshman), 10X AS, 6X All-NBA (2x 2nd, 4x 3rd), 16th all-time in points (barring injuries will reach at least 13th this year, maybe 12th), 3X gold medalist (the only one in history) and widely considered to be the best US Men’s Basketball player of all-time. But that resume isn’t first ballot signed, sealed and delivered already. Okay.

I love Clint man but he was a negative everytime against GSW. Draymond completely took him out of the game.

I can’t deny that. However, do you think the same would have happened with the Lakers or Clippers (who it looked like were coming out of the West last year)? I’m not trying to argue btw, I legitimately just don’t know

If Draymond made him look bad i can only imagine what AD would do to him. I remember having Tucker and Ariza as the primary defender on AD cause he was absoulutely abusing Capela.

The clippers are a good look for him as he usally does well against players like Zubac and Trezz aint it . Kiwi and PG dont attack switches like that

Melo was good but not HOF good. Another empty stats guy. Soon as he left Denver it was downhill from there. Gold medals don’t count b. Put aside the popularity and you have a another mediocre ball player.

Houston really gave away one of the better centers in the league so russ could stat pad smh
Clint was definitely traded so Russ could operate in space. At the same time, Clint kept getting injured and he was getting bullied on the regular. He regressed big time after that warriors series in 2019 where he actually said he was ready for the warriors and wanted to play them.

This was six days ago. I’m going to need to see a few more performances like last night to believe he’s turned some kind of corner.

You really doubled down on it :wow:  . So it went from 3rd ballot to “Not HOF good”. So you think he won’t make it at all? And how can you say gold medals (or college championships) don’t count when it’s The BASKETBALL Hall of Fame. It’s not the NBA HOF. Accomplishments outside the NBA count.

So clarify - what is your stance on Melo’s HOF candidacy? 3rd ballot? Or not at all?

Mitch Richmond is in the hall of fame man.

And gold medals literally do count for the basketball Hall of Fame.

C: Kelly Olynyk/Chris Boucher
PF: Tristan Thompson/ Brandon Clarke
SF: Andrew Wiggins/ Lu Dort
SG: SGA / NAW
PG: Jamal Murray / Kevin Pangos

This Canada Basketball roster is never going to happen is it? :smh:

Should be good enough for a chance at a medal but given the lack of commitment and some entitled attitudes this squad will prob.never see the floor.

Speaking of HOF, there was a question of Blake getting in earlier. Mitch and Blake have very very similar accolades

Weirdly similar. Both have Three 2nd Team All NBA and Two 3rd Team All NBA, both 6 time All Star. Both ROY and First Rookie team. Both First team NCAA. Mitch has Gold and Blake doesn't. Mitch has that donated ring Blake doesn't

I was somewhat shocked at the the points. Mitch in 14 seasons (976 games) has over 20K while Blake in 12 seasons (634 games) has under 14K
