Thanks for posting this!! They are so cute together!! Never forget the photo from the '92 Wimbledon Champions banquet where they were photographed together!! And some 17 years later they would start dating and get married! Really is a wonderful love story!!

And that year they stopped the tradition of the the man and woman champions sharing a dance together. I remember Andre saying he was so disappointed that he didn’t get to dance with her.

Hey NT,
Returning after a 10 year hiatus from here. Had Lavas in 07. Busted them out this summer again and wear them as beaters.
Got 19 Lava pair but was disappointed with 3 things:
Goofy grey eyelits
Lava looking more orange then pink
Tongue way too long.
Tinkered around with them and decided on removing the grey eyelits. Looks much better to me now IMO. Why they mess with the OG design is beyond me. 
Hoping for a true to the OG in materials, shape and color retro in the future.

Wow, NB! And Andre rockin' the Zoom Zero. Lol @ him using, what looks like, his bucket hat for padding his knee. Hard surfaces can hurt!
Finally caved and bought the ATC2's. Was thinking of using my '14s for the courts.
A pleasant surprise is, what I'm guessing, an Ortholite insole. My LunarBallistecs came with those, but have never got them in a lifestyle/retro shoe.

Just picked up 14 Lavas.
Here’s a comparison pic of the 08, 2014 and 2019.
It’s a close call between 2014 and 2008. I agree with what most on this thread have said. Color on 2008 is best and most vibrant. I love the overall fit and materials of 2014 though. Bump in back is noticeable in hand but not so much when in foot.
