🎾 OFFICIAL AGASSI RETRO THREAD 🎾

The LWPs arrived today!

I’ve been wanting a pair of these for a long time. After wearing them around for a few hours, I can only imagine what you guys thought when you put them on in 1995. These are still comfortable by today’s standards. Cushioning is good and they live up to their lightweight name.

Shoes are holding up well, only negative was some of the Durabuck on the right heel is scratched. I may have to have the midsoles reglued at some point, but they’re holding up as of now.

Original box and what I think is the original Nike bag from purchase was included.

I know this is the wrong thread but since we’re talking about those cross trainers real quick. I know the whole deal about the air trainer 3 know today actually being the air trainer SC and all that but the shoe we know as today as the air trainer 2 … what shoe was that originally called ? I’ve never been able to find out much about that shoe . I know Nike SB has retroed them a few times in the last 10 years or so
TW's?

Yep, that scuffing was the biggest issue that I saw with my OG Durabuck shoes. Once that happens, nothing you can do. We used to sharpie those back in the day haha. Not that noticeable and you got an otherwise beautiful shoe...especially for being 30 years old.

SB's - Nike Air Trainer TW II no original colorways retro'd

Even wearing pants or jeans will fray that upper at this point unfortunately. I had that same model/color about 6 years ago and much of it frayed though everything else was in good shape. Those are in amazing shape!

The sharpie trick was the only way to keep them looking nice. Did that many a time to my original pair back in 1995, senior HS year tennis team.

Yessir! That and Sharpie-ing the edge lines to black them out. Funny that people get mad when things don't have the white edges any more.

So true buddy. My current pair of LWPs that I picked up a few years after I graduated HS are in pretty darn good shape. Just need to break out some paint to fix a few spots. But that was the time we lived in. Sharpie was a sneakerheads beat friend for any and all black midsole and any black upper, no matter the material. 👍👍

90s hands down . Those huarache plus … man oh man I need those .. are those brown shoes air raid 2’s ? I didnt think those had a bubble
I don't think that's them. Weren't the Air Raid 2 just about identical to the air Raid 1?

But look at all the classics in that one pic alone! Three different huaraches, 2 air Jordans, diamond turfs and air maxes. Jeez.

These pics really show the glory days of shoe shopping. Every store had something different, either a style or a colorway that the other stores didn't have it seemed. Now it's just about the same shoes in every store and you're just looking to see who has them on sale for the cheapest.

NEED this to retro...please Nike! Had these in '89 and need them back in the rotation.
These definitely need a proper retro and i'd gladly pay retail for them. One of my best friends had them back in Jr high and it pained me to watch him trash them as the school year went on lol.

Yep pretty damn close . I think the strap was the main difference

No. Air Force Mid from 93.

Yep, Lobotomy got it. It was a grey suede/nubuck that tended to get a bit dingy if it got handled a bunch. It was a good looking shoe back then, though. I'd buy a pair in a heartbeat of they retroed.

EDIT: I thought it was this color, but now I'm thinking I may be wrong. I have a VERY vague recollection of a brown/black pair with a blue swoosh. Eh well...
