I didnt know these came in lows. I'm good on the lows.

The lava and the blue and orange 3/4 og colorways please

i had the original atcII 'lava' low...purchased summer 1990...it was the only nike og i had that came with the old jumbo tag as shown in pic & not the thin one

making the point that there was a 'lava' low - for those that might the low silhouette OR the lava color in general

I like the colorways of the lows, but I really don't like the low version.

Here was the first sample pic for the 08 retros (taken from that thread link)

I wish they'd release this colorway actually.  Not as a substitute for the hot lavas obviously but they look good in their own right.

yea the 3/4 was always better than the low IMO but I wouldn't mind some lows either. As far as the air presence it was a takedown model and with the Tech II 3/4 retailing for around 110 and the tech low around 90 they knew they needed a cheaper model affiliated with the flagship shoe. You have to remember this was 1990, 110 dollars for a pair of sneakers was eye opening.

Can't remember the exact prce of the presence but guessing it was arounf $80 which wasn't too far off from the ATC's. People had no problems spending that $100 on Jordan's though.

Finally picked these up.  Had a hard time finding my size but happy I finally did.  The material quality is amazing and they actually smell like leather.  When compared to the 08 lavas, well there really is no comparison.  The "leather" on the lavas looks and feels like plastic.  It's actually laughable when you put them next to each other.

These are easily one of my fav pickups of the year.  Some of you may want to jump in before these dry up.

Where are they? They were dried up before they even released! If you can even say that they released. They only did in NY anyway from what I know. Nike is so wrong for not really releasing these like they did. Never had a chance for these. NIKE stop feeding the hype and re release these in all states please. :{

Nice pick up by the way. I would love to have a pair.

Haha good point. I actually meant dry up from the resale market.  I had no chance to get these at retail so I said eff it and ponied up for a pair.  I know some people are retail or bust but sometimes you gotta pay to get pairs like this.

after looking at the wimbledons and us opens those lavas are just gonna look cheap as hell, and probably cost more too.

I want some just don't want to pay the prices people are asking. :{
Same. I got some wimbledons for retail on my last trip to london so I made out more than most. Now that I know how hard these are to get, I don't even want to wear em. Only thing keeping me sane about these ridiculously limited releases. Bet the GRs look and feel like plastic :{

I know the leather of the last retro felt cheap but two things: first, back when the tech II originally released they used a synthetic leather it wasn't high quality real leather. Second in regards to the shape, the clay tart had a toe box shape truer to the original in comparison to the lavas I'll get a pic up showing the difference

I never understood that logic. Buy a great shoe so that it can sit in a box??

I wear my easy to obtain shoes and shoes that everyone hates because there is never an issue obtaining it again at a reasonable price once I am done. Then when I get something hard to come by i dont even want to wear it because replacing it will be a *****.

But i didnt say i dont wear it. I just dont want to. Worn my wimbledons 4x already. It just means i have yo wear it less so it can last longer.
