🎾 OFFICIAL AGASSI RETRO THREAD 🎾

Not feeling the new colorway. I wish it was either or with the blue or orange.

^Sweet. More for me (:

I LOVE off white. The blue is a nice contrast. To me that looks as good as an OG colorway. If I have a good job by then it is two pairs for me. Hopefully they sit but these kicks are real popular now. Don't see them sitting ever.

That colorway is bomb.

Also is it me or do those two samples have different shapes 8o

One's a sample, the other's the '08 retro.

I like the colorway. Blue is neither make nor break for me.

We are giving Nike props for a pretty good CW, but it's barely a retro plus CW in the first place. These are sort of an "un-clay" CW mixed with the black elements of the lava.

What we really need is the white/blue/neon CW though - that was the best color of these, IMO

More like an OG sample/hybrid/whatever-you-want-to-call-it.

I'd love to hear the story behind them.

Some info From the link:

Supposedly, these are called “Nike Cross courts” and were found in an old store in Europe; and at first sight they look like a hybrid between the Air Tech Challenge II and Air Tech Challenge III.

I'm curious as to why Nike has yet to retro the ATC 1, maybe one day.....
I've been saying that for a while. Nike should release the ATC 1 since the lavas were already retroed.
Just a random guess, but perhaps it was the ATC II's which really put Agassi on the global spotlight... when people really started to notice him.  The Hot-Lava colorway, the Spandex, etc.  During the ATC I's, it was the denim shorts, but, visually, it didn't make as huge an impact as the "pink" did.

The lava's definitely made it more mainstream but I been following him since day way from the Air Trainer 1's with the denim shorts. Most kids today don't even know about the lava's and thought they stole the yeezy midsole smh. But that ATC 1 is such a classic!

Replace the lime with grey and then remove the grey from the upper and toe box.     Boom....then they'd be total murder.

As they are now i couldnt own em....id just be disappointed with what could have been.

Would be a very basic looking shoe but I would really like them more if done that way!

Hmmm... interesting teal-lime...

Still not sure about that blocking though... not sure about the lime-placement.

Then again, would we have preferred to see this sort of blocking? I dunno.

Teal and lime is the classic, so close, yet so far away!

With a few tweaks, I'd be all over them. As of now, they're "if at the outlets for the low" status... which I must constantly remind myself qualifies as in the 99th percentile of Nike retro releases these days.
