No, he first played there in 1987, where I believe he might have worn the Air Trainer 1's there. Â He skipped a few years and didn't return until 1991, where he showed up in an all-white ATC 3. Â He won the tournament the following year in the white/grey/blue Air Challenge Huarache. Â He made the semis a few more times and the final once after that, but never won it again. Â
The only slam he wore the ATC 2's in was the 1991 French Open.Â
If you're looking for performance from these, you should probably limit your expectations cuz these won't match up to the performance, comfort and durability of current Nike Tennis shoes. Â Having said that, if you got a pair for cheap, why not? Â

Yeah I'm not expecting too much outta these performance wise. Just wondering if they would last me more than 5 matches. Wouldn't really mind too much about durability if I got them for the low tho cause I just think it'd be pretty cool playing in these. I loved playing in the air trainer 1s but I tore those up pretty quickly.

I think those are the 06/07 retro. Â The OG's had a backwards-Swoosh, while the 2000 retro had the Agassi "A" on the tongue tab. Â The 06/07 retro did come with the Nike tag.Â

I have played a few sessions in Lavas. I'm no club player so they were ok hoofing it around the court for me but I did find them a bit hot and heavy. My advice would be get vapor tours every time for playing in. Lighter cooler and comfier. You can id a lava pair

Thanks man. There aren't any grey laces though. You get the dark green and white and also light green, which are the same colour as the wings and collar. I might put those ones in actually.

Definitely generational for me. Tech's were THE shoes to have when I was a kid. The retro's are no where near as popular as J's, which I like. There is too much Jordan saturation for me now, and I've begun selling them off as I'm not really digging wearing them anymore. Other than 88's, I'm sticking with Challenge Court's. I'm really looking forward to the Flare's, and I hope we do get IV's at some point too.

These Wimbledon 2's are more comfortable than the other SP's. They're cooler on feet, and are definitely lighter than the others too. Perhaps it's the TecTuff. They're my favourite pair now.
