Saturday. Everyone says he's gonna pick UO but it sounds like he's likely to not qualify, though that 'likely' is like 55%. I think his teammate Jefferson, who's just as highly regarded, is going JC.
I'd be curious to know if anyone that's deep into the recruiting scene knows anything about this RB Ethan Grant we got out of South Florida for the 2010 class. I've seen a couple guys online say he's more of UCF/FIU type of player but this piece from ESPN right here says Florida St. offered him verbally as a cornerback.
Oregon lands 2010 commitment
Oregon picked up a 2010 commitment from one of the fastest players in the Southeast over the weekend. Ethan Grant (Coconut Creek, Fla./ North Broward) visited Eugene unofficially over the weekend and committed to the Ducks while on his visit.
"Yep, he just texted me and told me he's a Duck," Stewart's uncle Ricardo said. "He said he loved it there and can't wait to suit up for Oregon. Florida State gave him a verbal offer but they wanted him for defensive back and Oregon wants to use him the way Florida used Percy Harvin and that was exciting to him."
Grant has explosive speed and has been clocked from anywhere in the 4.2-4.3 range in the 40.
"He works out with Terrell Buckley and was recently clocked at a 4.21 laser time," Ricardo said. "He ran a 4.3 just a few weeks ago wearing regular school clothes. He's going to the NIKE Combine in March and I have a feeling he's going to do something pretty special."
Grant will be coming home Monday from his trip to Eugene and I'll have more from him on why he chose the Ducks."
He's got a video here :

I can kind of see why all the FL schools didn't jump on him officially starting in the winter, he's got serious wheels but he looks a little slight. I don't think it's really going to be a matter of whether he'll have the raw ability to succeed at the next level, it's just going to be whether he can put enough weight on that frame.
