Lets hope so. Lattimore isn't coming.
Yeah, I'm not getting my hopes up or anything, but he is coming up for the Spring game on his own dime, and his uncle does a lot of positive posting on an OSU message board. Could be another Brandon McGee situation where he really does like Ohio State, but was never really going to leave Florida.
Yeah, I was just talking *%%! to ya. But honestly he grew up a Nole and his favorite player of all time is Terrell Buckley. Who just happens to bean assitant this year and will be the full time DB's coach when Mickey Retires. The thing holding up Joyner is the fact that life after Mickey hasn'tbeen explained to him yet. When he comes up for the Seminole Showcase and gets everythign broken down to him. And gets to work w/ P-Dub, Cro, T-Buck, Leon,Anquan and possibly Jerry Rice (Rumored to be coming back for a second time) and Deion (Rumored to be coming down for it this year) I think it'll only be amatter of time before he commits.

With that said, anything can happen in recruiting.

Yeah, his uncle has mentioned that before...also talks about Buckley being his idol growing up.

Don't get gassed on anything Joyner says. He likes telling everybody what they want to hear. He even said he would commit early to Miami at one point if itwasn't so close to home.

Hopefully he transfers to Columbus next year and plays with Jakhari though.

Not getting gassed. His uncle said the same thing, no?

I thought that was already done?

Lots of talent in Texas for 2010, too...

Well, yeah...
laugh.gif
Stoops generally gets his kids from NorthTexas though...

Mack went after those kids HEAVY though... Six or seven of the kids Texas got commits from on Junior Day were at or near the top of Oklahoma's recruitinglist...

Mack stuck it to him early...

About the only kid left in Texas they were really hot after from the jump is Connor Wood... Got Texas, Oklahoma, Bama, LSU, A&M offers, and there wererumors Pete Carroll was getting after him too... The Ags are hoping and praying that his brother and sister going to A&M and his pops wanting him to stayclose so they can attend games are huge factors for the kid... No chance.

Though he was considered a big-time long shot, there has been an odd development with one of the players from Louisiana to receive an Aggie offer. Monroe Richwood defensive end Rashad Givens is on the early Rivals250 to Watch list. The 6-foot-4, 225-pound defender is new to the game of football and is very raw, but many colleges love his upside.

However, a strange article appeared in the Monroe News-Star a few weeks back.

Thought to be a junior, schools were aware that Givens would have some issues getting qualified. However, in a very weird twist, he is listed as a senior this year and graduated early in order to attend East Mississippi Community College. It is odd that he was a senior when schools all across the country thought he was a junior and odder still that he would graduate high school early to attend a junior college. We are trying to figure out exactly what happened here, but you can probably scratch the defender off the A&M offer list.

What the helll? How often does something like this happen?

Taiwan Easterling ruptured his Achilles and is out for at least spring. Idk anything about this injury anybody out there know how long it usually takes to comeback?

He was probably the Noles best WR going into next season

DAVIE, Fla. -- Many of South Florida's top prospects took part in the Under Armour Combine on Sunday at the Dolphins Training Facility, includingstandout cornerback LaMarcus Joyner, who could be one ofthe best at his position in the country.

Though there were many high-end prospects at the event, Joyner was perhaps the most celebrated and impressive. The 5-foot-9, 165-pounder is explosive, fast, can change direction and is strong for his size. Joyner posted a 4.47 second 40-yard dash, but it was his final event of the day in the testing portion of thecombine and he said following his second try (that was when he got the 4.47) that he felt he could run a better time if he were not as fatigued. He had astellar l-cone time of 7 seconds. (And one note to remember, all the times are unofficial and won't be posted official until later in the week).

Joyner also was impressive during the one-on-one and seven-on-seven drills toward the end of the camp and also in the defensive back drills, where he showedquick feet and the ability to turn, run and close fast.

"I did what I do every time I come on the field, which is compete," Joyner said. "It's like they say in South Florida, you turn on thefaucet and the athletes just come pouring out. There is always someone out there to compete against. That's why I always work hard to get better."

Joyner is in the process of changing schools. He played last season at Miami Southwest and plans to transfer to another school in the area. Columbus, wherestandout running back Jakhari Gore plays, is rumored to be onedestination, but Joyner alluded to the fact that there is another school that is a possibility.

"I am still going through the process (of transferring)," he said. "I am going to another school, but it may not be Columbus. I don'twant to say what the other school is right now."

Joyner said he might take unofficial visits to Florida State, Miami, Florida, Southern California and Ohio State.
Power school is well-represented
Miami's Booker T. Washington High well known for its ability to churn out elite talent and the Tornadoes hadmultiple high-end Division I prospects test and compete.
Running back Eduardo Clements is one of the fastest running backs inthe Southeast and showed it on Sunday, posting a 40-yard dash time of 4.37. Clements has a lot of natural ability and really is one of the better prospects athis position in a jam-packed year for running backs in Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties.

Clements has a stellar offer list with Miami, Georgia, Tennessee, Rutgers, South Florida and West Virginia all having offered.

Offensive lineman Jose Jose measured in at 6-2 and 350 pounds, butposted some outstanding testing times and was dominant during the one-on-one and skills portion of the camp. The big man, who is being recruited as a center, ran a 5.21 40 and bench pressed 185 pounds 27 times. He also had a vertical leap of 26 inches. Jose also reported a bench press max from his high school at 385pounds and a squat max of 565.

Jose holds offers from Florida, Georgia, Florida State, Miami, Rutgers and West Virginia.

Wide receiver Quinton Dunbar has seen his stock rise during recentweeks. The 6-3, 183-pounder displayed good hands and speed during the one-on-one and seven-on-seven portions of the event and also tested well, posting a40-yard dash time of 4.49 seconds.

Defensive end Lynden Trail is another Tornado who is gaining seriousmomentum on the recruiting trail. The 6-7, 220-pounder has a lean frame and obviously will need to get bigger and stronger when he gets to college, but he hasgood athleticism and a strong desire to compete. Trail ran the 40 in 4.6 seconds (a good time for a player his size) and posted a 35-inch vertical leap.

Athletes Jayvon Wrentz, Toddrick Roberts, Anthony Smith and Jalanie Rouland are other Booker T. Washington players with anexcellent shot at playing Division I football. They are all versatile and athletic. While they are developmental projects, they all have the potential.
Northwestern prospects shine
ESPNU 150 Watch List defensive tackle Todd Chandler (Miami, Fla./Northwestern) had an outstanding day, particularly inthe one-on-one portion of the camp. The Miami commit said that he particularly enjoyed being coached by former Cleveland Browns and Clemson standout MichaelDean Perry, who coached the defensive line at the event.
"It really could not get any better," Chandler said. "All of the coaches know what they are talking about and they showed me some things Icould improve on. It was great working with (Perry). He showed me things I did not even know and that's good because he was one of the best defensivetackles in the league."

Chandler's teammate, offensive lineman Torrian Wilson, also wasimpressive during the one-on-one portion of the event and was one of the better prospects at his position at the event.

"At first, I wasn't sure about the one-on-ones," Wilson said. "Then when I got in there and really started to get going, I pretty muchdominated everyone I went against."

The ESPNU150 Watch List prospect, who ran the 40-yard dash in 5.2 seconds on Sunday but says his goal is to get it in the 5.0 range, is a tough, athletic, cerebral offensive lineman. Wilson currently has Miami on top with Stanford in second.

ESPNU150 Watch List cornerback Khalid Marshall was also at the eventand looked solid during the drills and testing, same with Watch List running back Corvin Lamb.
Dowling makes an appearance
One of the fastest-rising prospects in Florida is safety Jonathan Dowling (Bradenton, Fla./Southeast). The 6-3, 180-pounder made the tripacross the state to Miami for the event. Dowling showed he could move during the one-on-one and seven-on-seven portion of the camp, breaking up several passes.Florida, Georgia and South Florida are among the schools that have offered Dowling.
Williams impresses
Several of the coaches who worked the camp were extremely impressed with receiver Isaiah Williams (Miami, Fla./Miami Springs). The 6-2, 180-pounder did not runthe best 40 time (4.7 seconds), but the comment made was "who cares, it's not all about the 40 with this kid." Williams caught nearly everythingthat was thrown to him, has outstanding route running ability and is one of those receivers who is crafty and can get open.
Look out for Grimes
Cornerback Tony Grimes (Hollywood Hills,Fla./Hollywood Hills) was impressive during the one-on-one and seven-on-seven portion of the camp, showing a good ability to close on the ball. He also saidfollowing the camp that he prides himself on being a physical corner, which was obvious with the way he was able to jam some of the receivers. Grimes ran a4.59-second 40-yard dash, which is not blazing for a cornerback, but could be one of those prospects that it does not matter with.
Oregon and Florida Atlantic are the first two schools to offer Grimes.
Dorsett is impressive
Class of 2011 receiver Phillip Dorsett (Fort Lauderdale, Fla./Saint Thomas Aquinas) showed off an outstanding ability to get opendeep and make a big play during the one-on-ones. Dorsett certainly is a player that could emerge as a major Division I prospect in the next recruiting cycle.
Best linebacker?
Darius Davis (Miami, Fla./Krop) was the toplinebacker prospect at the event. Davis moves well in space and can cover. Of course, with linebackers combines are a great measure of athleticism (he ran a4.4 second shuttle) but really don't tell the story with things like tackling, courage, fire and the other intangibles that go into being great at theposition. That being said, according to several observers who have watched him play since his elementary school days, those intangibles should not be a problemwhere he is concerned.
Sleeper Alerts
Every recruiting cycle, there are players that come out of South Florida who emerge at different points in the process. Here are somewho may have emerged on Sunday.
David Delsoin, OT, Hollywood Sheridan Hills
The big, athletic Broward county prospect measured 6-5½ and 265 pounds. He has long arms and good feet. Delsoin is an unknown with no current scholarshipoffers, but that could change quickly provided his film checks out. Regardless, some program will take a chance on this kid. You can't coach what he'sgot.

Gilbert St. Louis, CB, Plantation
St. Louis posted a time of 4.5 seconds in the 40-yard dash, but it's his size and coverage ability that make him a player that should be bound for a BCSconference program. So far, Connecticut is his only scholarship offer, but expect more to roll in the near future. He was one player that many observers werebuzzing the most about at the event.

Jonathan Garcia, TE, Cape Coral Ida Baker
The 6-3, 220-pound Garcia has an excellent frame for a tight end and good hands. He tested well, with a 4.81-second 40 and a 4.4 in the shuttle. Garcia saidthat South Florida is showing him the most attention right now and he plans to make an unofficial visit up to Tampa in the next couple of weeks. West Virginiaand Northwestern also are showing interest. Expect his offer sheet to increase as more schools that need a tight end learn about him.
Notes
Offensive line prospect Jon Ragoo (Miami, Fla./MonsignorPace) is a massive offensive line prospect that has the potential to be good in college. The hometown Hurricanes have already offered the 6-6, 330-pounder. ...His teammate, ESPNU150 Watch List tight end Charles Fashaw, had a goodouting as well. It should not be too much longer before the 6-4, 220-pound Fashaw adds to his offer list, which has only Boston College on it now. If Floridaoffers, they could be tough to beat as the Gators would most likely use the tall, athletic prospect in the same role they used Cornelius Ingram and intend touse Desmond Parks from the Class of 2009. ... Receiver DeJoshua Johnson(Pahokee, Fla./Pahokee) was at the event, but did not participate in all of the testing or drills because he was nursing a hamstring injury. ... ReceiverIvan McCartney (Miramar, Fla./Miramar) had several nice catches duringthe one-on-one portion of the event. ... ESPNU150 Watch List running back Gio Bernard (Fort Lauderdale, Fla./St. Thomas Aquinas) was quickduring the running back drills, showing why he has a long early list of offers. ... Look for quarterback Marshall Rothman (Jupiter, Fla./Jupiter Christian) tomake some college on some level very happy one day. The 5-10, 181-pounder has all of the tools to be a great one (arm, athleticism, intangibles) but his heightmay keep him under the radar for a while. Kansas is one of the teams he is interested in because the Jayhawks utilized 5-11, 200-pound Todd Reesing to reachthe Orange Bowl a couple of years ago. Georgia Southern and some other FCS schools are showing heavy interest.

Apparently not. Looks like he's headed to St. Thomas Aquinas now. Good for UF.
His uncle posted that Ransom Everglades or Archbishop Curley are possible destinations, too. Something must have fallen through with Columbus b/che said a week ago that it was a done deal.

Might not be so

Dre,

Right now obviously there are going to be a lot of rumors until he gets a set place or new school but nothing has been decided yet. I should have an update on the final destination as far as his new school near the end of the week.

He was expected to compete for the starting job again this spring alongside sophomore Nick Sheridan and true freshman Tate Forcier, who enrolled lastmonth.
