Whats the word on DeAndre Brown? How did surgery go?? Was there nerve damage?? I'm hoping he doesn't end up like Prothro.

GUNNA'S 2009 BEST QB

Crapton

I havent heard a single thing about DeAndre's rehab. I hope its going well. Im optomistic but I hope they aint rushing him back. If it was me, and theresany risk, I'd focus on gettin back for my Junior yr

Deandre Brown's rehab notes:

Brown's recovery is right on schedule, but the process is still in the early stages.

"He's probably going to be coming off crutches before he leaves for spring break (March 16)," Fedora said. "They just took X-rays and they said he's ahead of schedule. It looks promising, but there is a lot of unknown. There is a long way to go."

Crowd at Spring practice tonite was chanting Bryce Brown.
A lil info, BB was actually at the team meeting yesterday and today, went to the 1st spring practice in the stadium (3rd overall practice)
of course Crapton threw a INT, and of course it was EB who picked him off

Ahmad Paige got hurt badly. had the ambulance come scoop him. Hope he's okay, so much talent, and been injured ever since he stepped on the Hill.

Golden and Floyd are basically 1a and 1b to me.

I couldn't pick.

* i do believe Golden became a much more complete WR this past year and will carry it over even more.

ND really is an O Line away from a damn good O....

He's okay. Dude ran full speed into the Brick wall in the back corner of the end zone and KO'd himself.

Does anyone else think Bryce Brown is heading for an epic fail?

Dude is taking so long to decide, he should have enrolled early and went through spring practice somewhere.

How good was the competition he played against in Kansas.

His film looks good, but he seems like a me first type of player, it will be interesting to see how much he contributes next year wherever he ends up.

I was about to say...how do you hit a brick wall? I don't remember them being that close to the end zone...

Former Oakland Raiders coach Lane Kiffin fired back at owner AlDavis on Friday night after a letter sent to the University of Tennessee by the Raiders became public.

Kiffin
Kiffin filed a grievance with the NFL Coaches Association after he was dismissed in September 2008 for what Davis describedas acts of insubordination and lying. Kiffin, who is seeking approximately $2.6 million of salary he believes he is owed under terms of the remainder of hisRaiders contract, is scheduled to give a deposition next week.
But before that could take place, the Raiders sent a three-page letter, dated Jan. 22, 2009, to Tennessee.

The letter, which was first obtained and made public by CBSSports.com, details the Raiders' grievances against Kiffin and accused him of"inducing" assistant coach James Cregg to breach his Raiders contract and leave for Tennessee. The Raiders also want access to Kiffin'semployment agreements with the university, which announced Kiffin's hiring Dec. 1.

Kiffin's attorney, Alan Loewinsohn, said Kiffin is confident next week's depositions will show he was fired without cause.

Raiders owner Al Davis explains his reasons for firing coach Lane Kiffin.
"Starting with Al Davis' nationally televised press conference publicizing the firing of Head Coach LaneKiffin last fall, the Raiders have continued to attack Coach Kiffin in the media," Loewinsohn said in a statement. "That assault continued today, long after he left the Raiders, when the Raiders issued a statement and 'leaked' a letter, a letter they wrote months ago to Coach Kiffin's newemployer, the University of Tennessee, in which the Raiders again attacked Coach Kiffin's character.
"Starting next Tuesday at a hotel in Oakland, the Raiders will no longer be able to rely on unsupported allegations made in the media, as a key Raiderspersonnel, starting with Al Davis, will finally have to answer questions under oath at their depositions, a process that Coach Kiffin is confident willdemonstrate that he was fired by the Raiders without cause and show that the continuing assault of allegations being made against him are false."

According to Loewinsohn, Davis is scheduled to be deposed Tuesday. The grievance will be heard by commissioner Roger Goodell.

Among the list of the Raiders' grievances is an allegation that Kiffin gave internal information to opposing teams after he was terminated.

The letter, written by Raiders general counsel Jeff Birren, ended with this: "It cannot be in the best interest of the University to continue to serveas his ally in his personal, though misplaced, war to rewrite the past.

"Please understand that the Raiders intend to vigorously pursue all of its rights and remedies and we will not stand idly by as your employee continuesto go out of his way to damage the Raiders."

John Clayton is a senior NFL writer for ESPN.com. Information from The Associated Press was used in this report.

what makes u say that?
cus he's weightng all of his options in choosing a school, its prolly the biggest decision of his life. If he needs to take the maximum amount of timewhats the problem?
He is not shying away from competition. Every school in his top 3 list is DEEEEEP at RB. so if he was me first, he woulda went to Pitt or MichSt, somewhere he could step in and play from jump without any obstacles. The only Negative is the whole Mr. Butler Potential Player aspect. but None of theother PP kids have this negative stigma. Its crazy
and about his comp level, at the AA game, he was easily the best player on the field during the week and on game day
