Nobody can really be surprised about this, aside from the fact that there hadn't really been any talk about USC going after Kiffin (at least not thatI'd heard).

Kiffin is a slimy mfer and UT probably would've been under probation in a few years. USC probably will be soon enough anyway, it just fits.

You know USC called and Kiffin didn't need to hear anything else like, "KTHXBYE UT."

It'll be interesting to see what the EEs at UT can do, it's not fair to them if they can't get out of it if classes haven't started.

my son just got back from the farragut basketball game.....he was near tyler brays father when he got a phone call tonight and mr. bray got visibly upset and yelled what in the hell is going on.....he became very emotional and had to leave the game.....they just moved their family here from california....was not a pretty scene

It was more on PC than Kiff. He would want to come because 1) people say his heart w/ SC, 2) SC can offer more $$$, 3) he can win an NC in next few years, and4) he's reuniting with his old staff. The top boosters know that Kiff and Chow had a shaky past, which is why they are working Norm right now to look atbigger picture.

It is what it is with Pete leaving us high and dry to go with the Seahawks.

I'm a big fan of Pete, I just don't like the way he left. I'm a 9er fan too so, +%@! the Seahawks

The administration was tight lipped, with word spreading that Garrett had little say in the hiring and that the Board of Trustees were letting him failpublicly with Riley, Fisher, Del Rio, etc.

Some SC boards were saying it will be someone that has not been mentioned.

I had a feeling Coach O would be back, never thought Kiffin and possibly Chow.

We'll see what happens when the administration meets with the NCAA. I could see a loss of scholly's, possibly.

I feel VERY good that this class will stay intact with the hire. Prater is definitely in now, which will likely bring Bax back. With those 3, this class willstay together; they were the glue.

Also if Tim Davis is confirmed, I feel good about Seantrel coming to SC.
