Easy. I'm commenting on game five, because I'm tired of listening about game 6. I don't know if you've seen the other threads, but this iseasily the 10th one in the last year about just game 6 alone. And I'm not joking. Every couple months a thread like this is opened. So, I've givenup on game 6 and moved onto asking about game 5.

One of these times I'm just going to come out with all kinds of fake quotes from Stern on how he gave the order and how he doctored some of the tapes. I'm just gonna have all kinds of fun with it one of these days.

no one responds to the game 5 argument, its like they got it in their mind the queens won fairly and that there were no bad calls in the game.

Nobody's talking about the last game though .
If they wouldn't have cheated on Game 6 , it would have been a totally different momentum .

who cares about momentum, how do you not have momentum and confidence when you have home court in the pivotal winner takes all game 7. i guess the refs nocalls from game 6 caused sacramento to miss free throws in game 7.

bottom line is winning franchises win and don't make excuses, losing franchises find reasons and excuses as to why they lost and hang corny little divisontitle and conference titles in their arenas to make them feel good about themselves.

my main issue with alot of the sacramento fans is that there in denial. 95% of laker fans acknowledge that there were lots of bad calls in game 6, how manysacramento fans acknowledge all the no calls against the lakers in game 5. if the refs didn't dictate games 5 and 6 its still tied 3-3 with the lakerswinning game 5 and sacramento winning game 6.

who cares about momentum? you cant be serious. momentum is the only reason the giants won the superbowl. you NEED momentum to win. PERIOD.

umm your wrong

2006 st louis cardinals they went 83-79 almost choked away the nl central by losing 7 of their last 8 games. got it together and won the world series. they sure had alot of momentum going into the playoffs.

2005 nlcs, albert pujols supposedly ended brad lidges career by hitting a home run when the astros were 1 strike away from going to the world series, stlouis had the home field for games 6 and 7 and were expected to win, if momentum was that serious, the astros would have just gave up rather then go to st.louis and brush off albert pujols huge momentum changing home run.

i have more examples i can name. theres no excuse to losing a game 7 on your home court.

The momentum changed and killed the Kings after Game 4 when Horry killed the Kings at the buzzer. Watch the videos and look at how dejected &frustrated Vlade, Bibby, CWebb, and the whole Kings team was after that shot.

Seriously Kings and they're fans have no excuse for how the Kings choked in this series, but they keep using game 6 as they're excuse why they didntwin that year. I still remember Vlade during that season talking how he thought the Lakers wouldn't beat the Kingswithout home court advantage.

there faces should have been dejected for blowing a 22 point 2nd quarter lead, not for the horry shot. when you have a 22 point lead, you have no excuses whenyou lose, as a matter of fact you don't deserve to win if you can't hold on to a 22 point lead. samaki walkers shot before half time shouldn't havecounted but if you don't blow your 22 point lead it should be irrelevant.

The Kobe elbow was dirty. I remember that. He knew exactly what he was doing on that one.

thank you .

i know if i just got shafted a game earlier ... im not gonna be feeling that (the NBA) .

It can completely change the game .

so the only "questionable" plays you guys can come up with is 1 no call? and that 1 no call meant the series was rigged?

its no point going back and forth with them, they only see things from their one sided point of view.

Weren't the Kings the first team in 10/20/30+ years to lose a Game 7 at home?

I doubt every team that won previous Game 7s also won Game 6, but it would be nice to know.

82Games.com doesn't think it was fixed.

In running a Google search for this game I found a site named KingsWCChamps2002

Fortunately, the Lakers have been a successful franchise throughout the time I've been a fan so there hasn't been a need to be overly emotionallyinvested in one game.

i came upon this old thread and i figured i would post some info on this game that was debated between my friends and i. memory is selective.
[h5] [/h5][h5]the lakers shot 40 free throws to the kings 25 in game 6. the kings intentionally fouled the lakers 3 times at the end of game 6 because they were losing. that means 6 free throws were shot by the lakers because the kings had to put them on the line in order to get the ball back. the real free throw total was 25 to 34 which is +9 for the lakers.

the free throw totals for game 5 was 23 for the lakers and 33 for the kings. that is +10 for the kings. shaq shot 1 free throw the whole game.

i dont recall seeing articles stating that game 5 was fixed in favor of the kings? yet the kings shot 1 more free throw in game 5 than the lakers in game 6. the reason game 6 got all the hype was because tim donaghy put the spotlight in that game. yet a similar situation happened in game 5 in favor of the kings that people with selective memories forget. tim did admit to fixing games but i think he was trying to bring everyone down. the facts show that game 5 went the same way as game 6.[/h5]
*dont know why the post shows up in caps. cant seem to fix it. disregard the caps lock.
