2010 College Basketball Season

James and PJ are wildcards for the team next year. They can still play, but I doubt it.

Hopefully Dindo will take another look at them.

The Alumni were too harsh on their recent performance.

Also, I haven't seen them in practice. I still see them in school, though.

I'm rooting for Martin Reyes (GH) to break into Team A.

Adidas sponsored the entire university athletic teams from 2004-2009. However, some players have indivudual Nike deals.

This 2010, Nike will takeover from Adidas but there might be some Ateneo players who still have existing agreements with Adidas (ex. Justin Chua).

@Gameover2
bro I think Adidas started sponsoring Ateneo in 2003 to 2009, 2002 was Nike, 2001 was Guess.

anyway, what's the word on the twins in san beda? are they good to go?

Sir, afaik Anthony and David Semerad can already play this coming NCAA season 86 since they have served their 1-year residency in San Beda.

I think Mangahas and Walsham are already done with their playing years...

Greg Slaughter red shirting for Ateneo...

Vigil in La Salle's Reserve List...

Bader's already playing professionaly in Bahrain.

Wow Slaughter in Ateneo! Good move! He can learn a lot from Norman Black.

Hope he can improve the way Arao, Kramer and Rabeh did when they were in ADMU.

I almost forgot...

Ateneo had 2 Australian imports who flew in recently, but they were too late to be enrolled for the 2nd sem of SY 2009-10. So what happened to them? San Beda swooped them and made last minute adjustments to get them in class just before the SY ended.

Smart tactics. Word to Calipari.

yup. anyone know how many years did he play in UV? also IMO this is better for RP Basketball, coz ateneo develops their big men really well.

I think 2 years at most. I'm not entirely sure though.

La Salle Green Archers won over Letran Knights 78 - 77
Best Player: Joshua Webb 27pts

player to watch out for Letran:
Franz Dysam and Jonathan Belorio (Transferee from UPHDS)
Raymond Almanzan 6'8 center (Cousin ni Kerby Raymundo)
Alvy Rodil (nephew of former Letran Knighs and PBA Great Samboy Lim

Si Louie Alas ang system niya kumukuha sya ng mga players from the Team B roster (except for his son Kevin).

Ateneo still tough even without baclao n hussaini they beat sbc. coaching is the key because of adjustments in the 2nd half

who carried the scoring load for ateneo? im hoping buenafe and salva would be the leaders of the team next season.

Kirk Long is still on the team, it was a team effort for Ateneo to beat San Beda in the 2nd half, they were down by 10 I think in halftime, after the 3rd quarter, they were up by 7 already I think, courtesy of Salamat's back to back 3's, Buenafe looks out of shape, gained a lot of weight, Salva took over, as well as the rookie Escueta and Monfort. Ateneo will be a threat this coming UAAP, but seems like the frontline is too thin, with Justin the only veteran big man, then Golla, and the rookies Escueta (looks promising, might start instead of Justin), and Erram, and I think Ateneo is having a problem in the point guard spot.

DLSU played well defensively, causing lots of turnovers, but the bad side was they were committing a lot of turnovers as well, vets stepped up, Ferdinand improved in terms of power and footworks, Simon Atkins tookover the crucial part of the 4th period hitting 8 straight points (2 treys, 1 lay-up), and of course Webb, seems like he'll be the one to take over the scoring chores for the Archers. Rookies are ok, especially Elorde and dela Paz, but decision making wise, still have to polish, Tampus and Vosotros were too eager as well, hope they could show their stuffs in the succeeding games, front line will also be a problem for DLSU.

maybe norman black could turn another big man into a star player. like what he did to arao, rabeh and kramer.
