The Vikings said on their website Wednesday morning that Favre was scheduled to practice with the team, less than 24 hours after they sent three of his closest friends to Mississippi to bring him back after another summer of indecision. The team said Favre planned hold a news conference after practice.

I still love all these people saying the Packers are better than the Vikings... Nobody can say "why" but whatever... I'd love for somebody to break down the two teams and explain how the Pack are better.

They are better because they have Aaron Rodgers...the 2nd coming of Brett Favre...oh wait we have the firstcoming of Brett Favre...

Dude seriously how long do you think he's gonna do this. You continue to think Favre will never shut down.
That is why i think they could be better. Rodgers is like 26 just entering his prime. Favre just came off another surgery, and is 40 something years old. Has it ever mattered before, no, i get it. But that doesnt mean its gonna happen forever.

This is the 4th time ive said this, just wondering if you understand what im saying. Faver could play well again like last year, not impossible. But its also not impossile that he has another game like he did against the saints. If anything like that happens again, his season is done. And another year older he's only MORE prone to it happening again.

But if Favre plays well again, its gonna be a close race. Vikings are dam good with him playing well not denying that.

Ok. You broke down 1 of the 22 positions on a football team. Keep going....

You mean where he threw for 310 yards?

2nd coming of Young , not Favre

But if he were the  2nd coming of Favre,  I guess  taking  the guy  who has 10-15  yrs left over the one  w/  1-2  is better

So you gonna actually be serious with me saying the Vikings are just as good with Jackson under the center? Seriously? The qauterback position is kindaa important. I mean he runs the WHOLE offense.
And cool he had 310 yards, he lost them the game and required ankle surgery after.

Pack are the trendy pick by everyone now simply because that is the thing to do, media grabs 1-2 teams who were on the fringe last year and they become darlings the entire preseason.... plus the Pack finished last year on a 7-1 streak.

NFL has constant turnover, constant turnover of playoff teams, we all know that. We don't have a clue how the year will play out really.

Still I like the Vikings team a hell of a lot more than the Packers right now. Both teams are obviously strong though.

Packers seemed to be one of the "sexy" picks last offseason too though, I just have a feeling that Green Bay is going to really mature at some point and things will all come together.

Rodgers has all the tools to take us to the SB as long as we can be above average in a number of other categories like pass blocking and pass defense.

3-4 Defense is in its 2nd year under Capers and theres plenty of young talent to go around... Remember, Green Bay was the youngest team in the league for about 3 years running from like 07-09. Its time that all those young players mature and put together a team that can make deep playoff pushes for the next 5+ years.

I don't get why everyone tries to say the Packers are "flying under the radar" and things of that nature. Every person on ESPN and every other sports vehicle are all picking the Packers as one of the top teams in the NFC. How is that under the radar?
